Why add Obi-Wan as a hero?
Because this Galactic Conquest scenario takes place before and during "A New Hope"
I read that. So he actively participated in the Rebellion?
Not to the extent others did but I felt his role in rescuing princess Leia and helping get the death star plans to Yavin IV deserved a hero slot.
I feel odd about leaving yoda out bit his role during this time was training Luke and didnt directly help the Rebellion
And Obi-wan's role was to protect Luke on Tatooine until the time came for Luke to begin his destiny. Obi-Wan chose to die on the Death Star because he thought his purpose was complete when Luke accepted his destiny. Joining and directly helping the Rebellion was definitely not on his mind.
It's the same case with Yoda.
I'm not too familiar but I think there are still plenty of Jedi you can dig up in Legends, the first thing I can think off is Rahm Kota or Ferus Olin (or whatever the name of Anakin's rival is).
it's ferus olin, you are right, but he died around this time as well
Which would still make sense since this is before ANH.
Is that the whole 501st or just a commander?
