Thrawn would never use a Super Star Destroyer.

Of course not, he's escorting the NightHammer. He's in the Chimaera near the aft end of the NightHammer. Thrawn would certainly never directly control a SSD, but what better of a tool is there? the power of an entire fleet in a single cloakable ship, that not only pounds the enemy but also provides the biggest distraction in the galaxy, while he commands the fleet in safety aboard the far less attention attracting Chimaera.

well thrawn detested super weapons. and a super star destroyer skirts that border pretty closely. that said he has to recognize there value for shock and awe tactics and one that can be anywhere and hide right in front of your nose....

moral is half the batle and that right there would shake any foes resolve

On the contrary, Thrawn would use anything he had in his arsenal for maximum advantage. If he captured an SSD somehow, he'd most certainly put it to use.

Yup, that's exactly what happened here. Except he put a cloaking device on it first. :-p

Though Vendar is right, an Executor is far too bulky for Thrawn to use as a personal flagship.

I would have increased the graphics on the planet right before taking the picture, then decreased them after taking it. For future reference

I think thrawn would use an SSD as a flagship if he had one. He only picked chimaera because of the crew. If he found an SSD and could train the crew how he wanted why wouldn't he use one?

An executor is too large to be used for tactical maneuvers. It's raw brute strength and endurance, which is definitely not Thrawn's style.

Also the type of cloaking device used by Thrawn in the trilogy inhibited communication with other ships, which is a very bad thing for a flagship if you're a commander like Thrawn.

Finally we like to keep canon flagships in this mod where possible, even if logically the character could have a better ship. Thrawn has many legitimate reasons for not using it regardless, but even if he didn't, we'd keep him on an ISD for roleplaying purposes. :-)
