Always loved the Nebula. A lot of punch in a smaller package. Btw, what are the little bumps all over the hull? Looks like it's going through puberty lol :P

Description

This year, we will be kicking off Mod of the Year with a tactical run down of the upcoming New Republic capitalships. Please go to the main page and drop us a vote if you enjoy the work we are doing.

The Nebula Star Destroyer is the culmination of the ambitious New Class modernization program. Sleek, deadly, and efficient, the Nebula manages to fit enough weapon and shield power to challenge Imperial class Star Destroyers in a mere 1,040 meter long hull. It's a technological feat that does much to inspire the rapidly growing New Republic military. The Endurance and MC90 are more often chosen as command ships, but the Nebula is without a doubt the premier front line combatant.

Unlike many other Alliance ships, the Nebula is offensively oriented in design. It's turbolaser turrets, ion cannons, and proton torpedo bays can make quick work of most enemies. In Interregnum, both these weapons and it special abilities make it an excellent, high damaging battleship.

Abilities
1. Pride of the Fleet: As the most advanced ship in the New Republic fleet, the Nebula can inspire its task force to give the fight their all. Grants nearby ships a chance to restore their antimatter while attacking the enemy.
2. Competence: Grants the Nebula a large bonus to damage, shield mitigation, and allows special abilities to be used more quickly while the crew operates at peak performance.
3. Rally: Passive. Slightly restores shields and increases the rate of fire of owned ships for a time when the Nebula arrives at a new planet.
4. Torpedo Volleys: Unleashes multiple large volleys of proton torpedoes to saturate an area around an enemy target. Deals heavy damage directly to the hull of all enemies near the target.
