I see the crash dummy mark on the grav generators got removed, never did figure out why they were there other than to perhaps make them more immediately noticeable.

Aside from that it looks remarkable, well done indeed. Is the same treatment going to be rendered for the Bellator and Allegiance as well?

They were on there because Evillejedi, the one who made the old model, wanted it there. :p

Aside from that? So did you like the "crash dummy" mark or not? xD

Bellator someday, but not a priority right now. No plans for the Allegiance at this time.

The new Bellator we are thinking of using is not made by Maxloef. Max is the only modeler making Star Wars models primarily for Sins, and I highly doubt he will ever do a Bellator. Most of the rest were originally made for EaW, which takes more work to get in game.

The Bellator is also so much bigger and has so many freakin' gun turrets, so it requires a lot more optimization and possible retexturing before it will be ready for the Sins engine.

I only know of two EaW mods that use Bellators, It is a shame the Sins' engine can't support some of those beautiful models that are made for EaW. Even some of the small corvettes and frigates look like they have more polys than anything Sins has.

I have no idea which game actually supports the highest poly models. We could use far higher poly models technically, but that would hurt game performance when you have as many units in game at once as you do with Sins. EaW was designed to be a smaller, more tactical game; if you could calculate the max number of polygons (on all ships) that can be rendered at once by both games, I'm sure Sins would win easily.

And part of our problems with this particular model we have is that it includes a bunch of crap needed for features that EaW doesn't really support but Sins does by itself. Such as shadows. The Sins Rebellion engine renders shadows for all ships automatically, no special work required by us. Apparently to do anything like that in EaW takes a ton of work, and we actually have to remove or redo those components for the Sins engine.

True highest count all at once Sins would win out in the end, I guess it was a sacrifice in the end it had to make for being real time rather than turn based and having the galaxy all visible rather than each planet it's own stage. Though I do tend to dislike the scaling of Vanilla Sins with capital ships looking like they are as big as countries when near the planets.

Though speaking of models which would be used for the Eclipse? there was two variants of that ship the Eclipse-I which is the most recognizable from EaW then the Eclipse-II which I kinda like the superstructure at the front of the ship under the superlaser more.

Almost certainly the original Eclipse.

Awesome, though one thing I hate of the original Eclipse is how little engines it has for it size, compared to the Executor. Pretty sure on mass Eclipse is far heavier.

Well, the Executor constantly being upsized in the official stats probably didn't help. In fact I think when Dark Empire came out the Eclipse was also longer than the Executor, but then the Executor got buffed to 19km and the Eclipse was kept at 17.5km.

Not just the length though, the Eclipse is bigger in depth and has far more structure. So it still kinda made no sense in Dark Empire how the Eclipse had less engines to push it along than a ship smaller and obviously lighter than it.

Didn't mind the marks, didn't care much as long as they trapped fleeing foes.

Yes I've read that your priorities right now include those New Republic bozos. Shame that, ignoring the rightful ruling power.

I know the guys over at Thrawn's Revenge II recently added a Bellator to Pentastar's roster, maybe you could ask them if you could use it? Just a thought.

Of course, it would be silly to add a new Vindicator model without also upgrading its cousin, the Immobolizer cruiser. Also by Maxloef, this new model makes one of the most advanced ships in the Imperial Navy a whole lot sleeker.
