From the makers of Thrawn's Revenge: Imperial Civil War, Ascendancy is a Star Wars mod set after the Battle of Endor in the Star Wars Galaxy. Fight for galactic ascendancy as multiple factions from this period in Star Wars history.
Loosely based on the design from the Rebels cartoon and included in the upcoming 1.0 release
Looking good guys! Cool to see Rebels came in handy for once in a mod about the EU.
I like this design a lot more than the original. The original kind of looked flimsy and if it had been attacked it would have been space debris in seconds. I don't like Star Wars Rebels, feels way too kidified but their ship artists do an excellent job!
i have to agree, this variant is a vast improvement over the original design.
Wait when what episode was that in? I don't remember seeing one, or was it in a trailer for the next season?
it was seen briefly in the mid season trailer that came out awhile ago.
I like even more.
Ahhh this is a huge improvement, glad to see Rebels being used as an influence :D
Rebels is kinda so-so, but atleast it is canonifying some EU ships. Tarkin(the book) mentioned the Interdictor, but it was in Rebels too IIRC.
In Rebels it got 5 thrusters, no?
Allright, so to everyone who thinks, this came from the kids-commercial series "SW-Rebels", how can you call yourself a 'fan' and not know this is a design, initially seen in Star Wars REBELLION (1998's PC game; in some countries called "Star Wars: Supremacy")?
SW:R(ebellion! Again - Not that kid's "Rebels"-canon-glitch) was an underdog game a lot of ppl did't manage to handle, because it was too complex for an afterwork-mind. So it didn't get that popular, but was one of the best strategy games a fan could get then. Most of the ship models you find outside the initial movie canon has been seen first in SW:Rebellion.
You have a list of ships here:

Ans some information about the game here:

Please show the serious canon some respect guys. Nowadays movies and series just use to align with modern interests and betray it's canon-continuum. That's why you shouldn't sell a serious idea to "Disney"...
Even J.R.R. Tolkien knew that his lifetime.
So no offence, but this has to be clarified...

Recommend to put this into the description, of this picture, because "Kids Wars: Rebels" just copy/pasted it from an original Lucas Arts Game.
After all this is a beautiful, high quality mod, love this conversion into SOASE.
Pretty sure you're misreading this Thurelh. None of us is under the impression that the Quasar didn't exist before Rebels. It's been in the TR mods since the first releases of each, so obviously we're well aware of Rebellion, the first iterations of our Quasar model were based on that design. That's why this post says VISUAL UPDATE. Hell, our host network is one of the sites you linked to.
This post was made for the *updated* model, which we updated based on the version of the Quasar shown in Rebels, since we felt that design was better fleshed out than the original depiction from Rebellion. IF you actually look at them, there qas quite a bit changed between Rebellion and Rebels, and the Rebellion design is quite dated in comparison. That is why the description says based on the design from the Rebels cartoon. Because the changes to the design were based on the *DESIGN* in the Rebels cartoon, not that the ship itself originally came from Rebels. In particular, the Hangar is four separate bays instead of one simple box, and the Engines are no longer the same series of smaller cylinders.
