This mod aims to enhance the vanilla games graphics. I did not make any of the textures or levels or meshes for this mod. How to install 1. Copy bin_x64 and gamedata to the root of shadow of chernobyl. 2. Open bin_x64 and create a shortcut of xrengine.exe. 3. Open properties of xrengine.exe shortcut and add" -steam". a) Example of target "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Soc Enhanced\bin_x64\xrEngine.exe" -steam 4. Have fun!
This is another small update fixing many issues in the user.ltx which made thhe sun too strong and you would lose too much depth in the image and lowlum was optimised also so now in shadows you can still see.
Are the patches (still) necessary?
No v1.1 includes all patches and fixes prior to it's release.
Thanks. It looks fine. Is it a mixed weather system? Perhaps a weather mod?
Yes, SWTC has dynamic weather, so in any aarea of the game you can get sun shine and Rain or storms with 2 kinds of the sun one being white and the other which is orange. They change depending on the time of day which is cool and there is also dynamic sun movements too. If you would like the vaanilla weather system you can remove the weather configs folder and the level_weathers script from script folder.
I also recommend you use one of the Improve Option Names i made which i released earlier. It even shows you how to quickly change all the colours of the text in seconds.
I will play it, graphics looks awesome :). With the "Improved Option Names".
Awesome, I am glad to hear you think it looks good. Hopefully not too long from now i will be updating the levels to fix some issues built into some of the levels.
Is there a freeplay after you finish?
No, currently there is no freeplay after finishing the game. I might add this in a future update, but currently i am working on some bigger issues with the levels. Then there will be some weapon damage tweaks, so it isn't like shooting a nerf gun. Then i will add freeplay once those are done.
Hi, mod looks great and i'm enjoying it a lot! Great work!
I have a question though, is there a way to start this with steam? The " -steam" in properties didn't seem to cut it for me, steam doesn't recognize that I'm playing the game.
This mod bypasses steam. The -steam command works 100% you must have done it incorrectly. You need to make sure the -steam command comes at the very end of the target and the includes after the " marks at the end.
