hello! I decided to do small modification that replace and fix some scopes in game. Main goal was to put proper crosshairs to specific models of scopes and make them thinner so they will not cover your aim that much. Second goal was to fix scopes so they will be similar to what you actually have on gun, best example will be probably 1p29 scope that use totally different model in game and in graphic. Graphics are in two versions: totally transparent and with black sides. Later I will add semi-transparent. Also for now they are compatible ONLY with panoramic 16:9 monitors. Here are some examples of changes(open in new window/tab for bigger res): _____ Now before I will release them as addon, I would like to do some test and ask for help because I have some problem with configs. Main problem is that I PSO1-M2-1 and trijicon dont want to work at all. I added to config files all missing parts for them, but those two show just big gray square when you use them on guns like Vintorez and G3. I used the same configs for them as normal PSO and acog have(because they are similar) and of course I added them to scopes_16.xml I probably messed up something in addon_scopes.ltx and weapon_scopes.ltx but I cant find anything. Other scopes work just fine. So if anyone have time, just take a look at them and test them, maybe someone will find what is wrong with those two scopes... As for rest of textures, they work. I still need to do some fixing with aspect ratio but that can be done anytime. For now just see if crosshairs look good, if scopes match model on guns and if there is no other bugs beside that PSO-1M2-1 on vintorez and trijicon on G3. Edited by: paranoiia8 |

quick question, any changes for the Holo/Kobra sights? if not could you perhaps make 2-3 variations on reticles if possible? Also i dont know how to mod, and im worthless in photoshop or program like it, but i could come up with ideas and help you that way if you want also how do you install this with closed DB files? since it dont replace anything? After I deal with those main bugs I will upload other variants for scopes, holo/kobra also should not be a problem to modify so I will upload them too. As for installation, just copy gamedata folder to Anomaly folder. That's it. I would recommend using transparent version first because black version have wrong side panels that I already fixed. Post any bugs you find, anything even small things. For now there are few main bugs that I mentioned: vintorez with pso1m2 don't work, g3 don't work and s550 sniper also show gray box... I still need help with them, graphics are fine so I had to mess something in configs related to scopes not guns them self, so it limit problem to 4 files weapon_scopes, addons_scopes and both XML files in UI folder. |

There are 3 most common crosshair for mosin, with is better? I will also prepare different body for mosin, because mosin have upper knob and different mounting. |

hmm, hard choice i like them all xD but idk 1 probably is the most "recognizable" ? i do like the 3rd but the 2nd one is like pretty clean and good looking so dealers choice xD i have to say you work on these scopes are just top notch man! Edited by: Skuffe |

Wow, great work man. They look very nice. For mosin I would like to see the 1 (look like WW2 reticle) or the 2 (remind me an air gun scope, something that stalkers could make by using old scope and thin wire). Also I hope that someday someone will make a 3D versions of lower magnification scopes. |

OK i give up. I have no idea how to get rid of those gray boxes, so for now this addon is canceled. I thought that adding them as new elements in addon_scopes.ltx and weapon_scopes.ltx will fix that but nope. I did similar addon before for NS2016 and CoC, but all what I had to do was adding new scopes to scopes_16.xml and scopes.xml and then just put new names of textures in gun files but in anomaly its just dont work... I replaced names for "scope_texture" and "scope_name"(if I added new one) but game still show gray boxes Here is last version, I added scopes that remind those used in actual gun models(g43, 1p29, m24, ww2) + I added this gray background instead of fully transparent scopes. Now seargedp or anyone else can use them but they need to find out why in game there is just grey box instead of scope texture... Also here are simple textures for fully black scopes(no configs): Gdrive maybe someone find them useful... |

So here is updated version with this file and some fix in aspect ratio of some scopes. I would probably release it in addon section tomorrow, with 3 versions: semi transparent, black and simplified that will have just 4-5 scopes that take whole screen(you can call it "classic") |

With Kobra and EoTech there is small problem... Actual crosshair is on model it self, not on texture... None of gun use texture "wpn_addon_scope_kobra_lens.dds" but just color from "wpn_addon_scope_blue_lense.dds" Models of scopes them self use those textures but none of guns in game use those separate models but just gun models with already attached scopes that have those big croshairs meshes. And to be honest Im not in the mood to modify all those guns to change them... sorry, its just too much work. Unless there is other way, but I dont know it. |

I though color can be changed by just changing files wpn_addon_scope_red_lense.dds but i thing because that part use selflight shader on it, it will be always bright white, because changing this dds file dont change color of crosshair.... I just checked it and sadly its true, you would need to edit every gun and change used shader and texture to modify crosshair on kobra/eotech scopes... PS. Yes, I make that crosshair bigger to see better |

Version in addon section contain some fixes so its more up to date than version from Gdrive. |
