Even New Vegas has more complex ammo crafting system. Fallout.fandom.com

Each bullet should be able to be disassembled into specific casing, primer, powder and so on. And you should only be able to reload ammunition with reloading kit. This would be especially fun with shotgun shells

Thoughts?

In theory, I agree with you. But too much clutter items would flood the inventory, there are already enough crafting components/materials imo

For me, ammo crating in NV has always been simple, it was just pretty confusing at first. Yeah, I would like to have a ammo crafting system inspired from New Vegas.

But if you ask me, this should be more of an addon rather than part of the mod itself, not everyone may like it since they would find it too complex or annoying, wich is perfectly understandble.. instead we should have 2 ways to craft ammo in the game..

1- Craft "clean" ammo by using old ammo, powder and ammo parts, but instead of using 30 old ammo to just craft 15 ammo, just use 30 old ammo to craft 30 ammo, let's just say you are re-crafting the old ammo, making it clean and new.

2- Craft ammo by simply using ammo parts and powder. This one is just literally crafting ammo.

Now it's up to the player if he/she wants to clean his old ammo or just make ammunition in a very simple yet realistic and immersive way.

The inventory is already incredibly cluttered, so they might as well go all in. For me it's not a bad thing. Inventory management is more fun to me the more items there are.

This addon does exactly that:
