Adding phantoms that appear when psi-health is low, they look and move like real mutants, but die as regular phantoms (and do some psi dmg on collision with player).
Important (kinda):
1) Before you try it out, addon is spawning phantoms like real mutants and as any real mutant on spawn, sometimes it has micro-freeze (idk maybe depends on your cpu), so keep that in mind.
2) Psi-health is calculated from intensity of arszi_psy.script's ppe, if you changed this value (local c_ppe_max_intensity = 0.5) then my addon probably won't work correctly, you will need further adjusting.
Description
So it's just that:
Change those values if you want, couple of things to mention:
- They usually spawn behind you ;]
- They focus you only and nobody focus them.
- They disappear after the first hit (from anything).
Sorry for shit quality xd
Compatibility/uninstallation
Should be compatible with everything.
If there are phantom squads existing on your save, game will delete them on next loading, but I can't guarantee that you will have enough time to save before any of them spawn again ;] Best way is to get psi-health higher than phantoms_appear_at value, save/load and then remove addon.
Biggest thanks to Longreed for helping!
Interesting, checked this page for the first time after release and saw 12k downloads hmmm... Would you guys mind leaving some feedback about stutters (if it does stutter for you) and how often it happens?
Thought this still has like 50 downloads and was about to terminate addon coz of possible stutters on spawn xd
interesting one, always though the psy sistem needed something like this in vanilla + more fear when you are low of psy health
Very neat mod! If I can make a request would it be possible to add a feature where controllers spawn phantoms of random mutants when near them? Also that would have to be compatible ( probably via patch ) with Arszis controller overhaul.
With Arszis controller overhaul you will already get these from this addon, since he has aura that reduce your psi health.
Don't starve Stalker
Interesting addon, added to the later list to wait for updates :)
I swear, I saw a request like this in the Anomaly discord. Mageeek
Probably by me, throughout the year, was just tired of waiting ;]
Good mod, it has scared me like 2 times already
Interesting concept, but good lord that's masochistic! I always hated the phantoms gameplay wise, if you aren't on an even spot of land with long sight lines, they very easily hit you and ruin your psi protection fruther without any real way of stopping them without just waiting in an open area for a long time.
Lost Alpha added them to Controllers, making them a massive pain to fight as the range they could appear was easily 50-100 meters across.
Anyway, interesting idea, and seems folks like it! Great job!
Combine this with psy stress if you enjoy suffering

I was moving to Cordon when a Psy-Storm hit and I ate the first wave, reducing my psy-health to less than 50%. It was also the time of evening where both night mutants and dynamic nocturnal mutants kick in.
As I wait out the storm, I hear growling outside. At this point I have no idea if it´s a night mutant or a phantom. After the storm I look around but can´t see any mutant at all, so I head back to rookie village. As I enter the village, the guards report seeing a Chimera and tons of gunfire erupts, so not a phantom. Gunfire dies down but I still hear growling, very close to the house I am in. Has the Chimera won? I look outside but don´t see a single Stalker. I decide to go to bed. I look outside the next morning and see a Snork running outside, with not a single Stalker in sight, again. At this point I honestly think mutants wiped out rookie village. I look at the PDA and Wolf and Fanatic are still alive, so can´t be?! The Snork enters my house, I shoot it, it disappears into thin air. I leave the house and see other Stalkers walking out of their houses, and Wolf standing behind a bush. I exit the village and go north. A bit south of the building where I hid from the psy storm yesterday, a Chimera! I start blasting it and it disappears into thin air. Absolute 10/10 mindfuck.

This mod goes hand in hand with Psy Stress... The line between what's real or what's not becomes a blur.
Especially if you play without companions.
Though it appears that other stalkers react to phantoms, they just don't shoot them. But out there, in the field, everything's different.
