Reanimation of the Anomaly's Desert Eagle, complete with new models (in 1st Person)
Hey all, this is basically a mod I've been sitting on because:
1. I kinda stopped playing Anomaly because of work
2. I kept procrastinating setting up the World models for the new Deagle meshes and textures
So, with that in mind, here is a replacement for Anomaly's Desert Eagle, with each variant having different models and textures in addition to the different stats. The unique version even comes with an optic and extended magazines.
As this is my second mod, I'm sure there are bugs I just didn't catch or other annoying things. If you find some, leave them in the comments and I'll try to see what I can do. I just figured some people might enjoy using this mod. Thanks!
This mod has no dependencies! But your red dot on Nimble's version will look a little better if you have BaS installed and you choose that option in the FOMOD installer.
Known issues: The world models for all Desert Eagles are from the original Anomaly mod. I may not ever get around to making these, just depends on how much time I have.
The Pretty Pistols Pack mod WILL CRASH if it loads after this mod, to fix this all you have to do is make sure this mod overwrites that one (put it lower in your MO2 list so it has higher priority).

I'm using it too and i don't have any conflicts. Just make sure that this mod is loaded last.

What's PPP? I don't use that mod in my current load order.

ah, yeah I'll talk to blackgrowl and see if i can fix it, for now, let this mod override that one.
if you have a PPP mod conflict with having Hax's Deagle Reanimation on inside your game make sure you have to check the gamedata files from the PPP Pack, and delete anything related to Desert eagle inside the PPP gamedata file (such as Meshes/Config and texture of PPP Deagle) after that don't forget to test the game by yourself in the Test map by pressing F2, mine is work after I'm doing this and now I can use his Deagle mod with PPP Pack on, also I hope this works with you as well!

Unfortunately not, the animations are tied to the models because lul Xray go brr

What changed from the initial upload that was around 10 hours ago?
Someone pointed out that the default magazine size should be 9 instead of 7 because in STALKER the deagle shoots .357, that was the only change.
Really ? Instead of download the whole 37MB again it's enough to say:
ammo_elapsed = 7 -> 9
ammo_mag_size = 7 -> 9
?
I mean... its 37 mbs... It's not like it's an essential change, but why would I make other people do it in their own versions instead of changing it myself for everyone else that downloads this mod after today?

The animations are globally very good. They could benefit from all being slowed down 10-20% speed (but i think i can do that).
However, the big issue is the deploy animations, it's like made out of a few frames and goes even faster than falcon millenium lol... it's super weird.
If you could fix that only animation this would be a 10/10 easily
EDIT : i figured out i tested the black version, custom iirc. The regular one is not working properly : especially in the shooting animations. So well, inconsistencies it seems.

I have found the culprit for the deploy animation going overly fast ; this is the fluid aim addon : Moddb.com
As far as I understood it - quite poorly i must say - this addons kinda "skips" some frames or speeds them up when deploy animation is triggered. At least it breaks the one in this addon.
So i checked the script and found different "delays" or timings, whatever... according to the gun type (w_pistol, w_smg, w_shotgun... etc)
Seems like for y'all fluid aim addon users, if you go to the deagle.ltx and edit
kind = w_pistol to w_sniper at line 29, the issue vanishes.
That's just some empirical report, if anyone has a solid fix / script edit patch, it will be useful to pretty much everyone. At least if you want some temporary fix, that's how to.

Hmm, interesting. Well I've noticed this on my end as well, I'll keep an eye on it, let me know if there are any other effects from changing that line. I'll check it out on my end and update the mod if it doesn't break anything. Thanks for the report!
it is funny because, i manage to make it work changing the kind to w_sniper or w_rifle.
It seems it works better with w_rifle for now. Using fluid_aim script preserves the deploy animation to have a correct speed. However if the kind is not correct, the shooting animation while not aiming gets wacky and super snappy.
So i manage to get it working now, but i must admit, every 20 rounds, sometimes i don't have the animation playing correctly when shooting (only the slide going backwards, it's very weird).
It is the very first animation i got conflicting with any script or additionnal mod, i'm very curious why.
The other instance i had broken animations was when using Boomsticks October version of this year, where some guns like the PKP will have issues with shooting animation while ADS if i'm not using the custom edited / modded .exe file they provide.
Even more interesting : i did spend hours checking what configs / scripts could be conflicting with your addon in my modpack and I saw nothing directly in conflict.
More investigation needed perhaps...
EDIT : OK i have an addon for testing that breaks the first shooting animation, that's normal. On another modpack i don't have the issue. However fluid aim issue with deploy animation is still here
This is one of the best models/reanimations i've ever saw for anomaly. I really hope you can add more in future. <: I absolutely love this Modern Warfare reloading style.
This reanimation is awesome! Your stuff for fallout was great too. Now I don't know about the permissions or the technical side of it but porting over your fallout SCAR would be amazing if its a realistic thing to do.

which part of AWAR is causing it if I may ask? im getting this issue with the Gunslinger Deagle.
I would love to use these sick as desert eagles but I won't. It would be great to be able to attach different scopes and sights to the and maybe the LAM module from B&S to make them even better.
Is there no draw animation? Or is my game glitched?

On 1-st person, when i on free cam, i see a magazine in my arm.
most weapons that show two magazines have that kind of setup i think, it's to show the player on reload, grab the magazine from the gun and grab the magazine to reload the weapon, thus grabbing the mag on the mag that the player can't see on the normal camera
