Allows you to spend new game loadout points for a companion ;]
MCM IS MUST HAVE, ADDON WON'T WORK WITHOUT IT.
(although addon doesn't have MCM options yet, you still need it to load the script in main menu.)
Description
Allows you to buy companions for new game points.
Available companions per economy difficulty:
- Tourist = novice, experienced, veteran;
- Scavenger = novice, experienced;
- Survivalist = novice;
Amount of companions for each tier is 3 , change in script local amount_for_each = 3 if you want.
Points cost is 200 * tier (where max is 600), you can change that in script local points_per_tier = 200
That's all, should be compatible with everything. (Will add some basic MCM options later. or not, there isn't really much to add.)

У торговца можно заказать наёмника/напарника, уточнив для него ранг, оружие и его живучесть/броню. Ну и выбор фракции, если у нейтрала заказываешь или определённой фракции, если покупаешь у фракционного торговца.
Типа есть запрос на напарника-снайпера из свободы, используя заложенные функции подбора снаряжения из Loadouts, ему предоставится снайперская винтовка, одна из доступных его рангу и фракции, со 100% вероятностью.
Или, хочешь себе ручного броненосца с пулемётом из долга, у Петренко покупаешь нужного бойца, который будет в скине экзоскелета, с повышенным здоровьем и прочим. Ну и соответственно 100% будет подобран один из доступных пулемётов.
Чето много почестей, я думал скорее сделать просто ранг и "бери что дают".

I think this would be a great idea. Instead of just finding random "escort squad" Pay to get one. Would be amazing nice feature.
If tourists can hire homies from Sidorovich, it seems fair to hire them yourself for similar or better rates.

Fixed. Damn mercs start facing a wall and it was trying to find a correct spawn spot inside of it forever. Increased angle from 40 to 360, can't fail now.

The companion 'items' don't appear in the menu if your Toxic Air addon is also installed. I removed it and the companions appeared. Seems like only one starting items table patch is applied at a time

Editing the local points_per_tier value didn't reflect the change in the loadout menu, they are still displaying as 200-600pts cost.
Did you save the file after editing? It's the only place where points are defined and impossible to still be 200 if you changed correctly.
I just double-checked with a new file, edited it and saved, its still showing up as 200-600 in cost. Either ive edited the value incorrectly or there is a conflict somewhere.
Somethings come up IRL so i cant say for sure when i can get back to you after testing things, so for now would you be able to provide me here with an edited example of that part of the file just so i can be 100% certian my edit is/isnt the cause of the issue? And regarding any conflicts, the only thing i can think of is maybe something like glowsticks or toxic air is interfering with the proper addition to the new games loadout.

Try without these addons, because I don't know how it's possible to simply change 3 symbols in a text file incorrectly.
I wouldn't know either, but at the time human error was a possibility.
I did three tests with a fresh anomaly/amcm install as the base.
The edit worked 2/3 times, the conflict is with toxic air, glowsticks is fine.

How could i modify the prices for the companion in new game loadouts? Currently using something that narrows down the loadouts but only distributes 16 points. (on lowest Prog. difficulty) Making this cool concept unusable (not entirely)

The companions are very vulnerable to psi storms especially when combined with other mods. Is there any way to get them to be immune to psi storms?
Frankly, just don't want to spend time to make these companions unique. The whole point was to give some help at the start and make generic NPC companions for them to die like any other NPC.
That is fair. Just another thing I could add to the list of causes of casualties.
It would be nice if we could choose the outfit of our companions.

Any chance on making this compatible with Toxic Air? I want both but if Toxic Air is on the edit to the point value i entered doesn't take effect. I have adjusted my points to be EFPish instead of vanilla cause my goldfish brain can handle them better.

You changing points_per_tier? I'm pretty sure I tested all of it and it worked with toxic air.
Correct, I adjusted line 97 in the loadout_comp_mcm.script to read as
local points_per_tier = 2
If Toxic air is enabled, even if Companions in Loadout is a higher priority, the cost per companion level is still at the default 200 points per tier. If I turn it off my edit takes effect.
I do not have any obvious conflicts showing in MO2 either, and even moving this addon to the highest priority in the load order doesn't reflect my edit if Toxic Air is turned on
just started a Freedom playthrough in EFP and I took the novice companion with me on the loadout screen but he didn't spawn in, or he didn't join my squad. i also modified the point values to be similar to those of EFP btw. is this a bug or do you have to find the companion and take him with you?
He should be in your squad on game start, don't know about modpacks.

Найм у торговцев думаю возможен, но нужен новый GUI, мне чето лень. Да и идея была начинать игру и тратить очки на компаньонов, покупать их далее по игре будет думаю слишком легко.
Кстати, а что насчёт возможности обменивать очки признательности группировки (в отношениях которые, первой строкой идут) на компаньонов этой группировки, возможно ли такое?
Типа, повыполнял задачи, заработал авторитет - нанял себе помощника из группировки, поговорив с лидером или похожим.

Вообще сделать подборку брони не столь сложно, сколько муторно.
Для этого нужно отредактировать файлы
1. Внести изменения в "character_desc_general_stalker.xml", создав в нём отдельные строки по примеру находящихся в нём. Задать новым строкам нужный визуал, а тут уже надо знать, как каждая модель выглядит. Затем в "npc_profile.xml", потом создать профиля и т.д.
2. Затем, когда будет создана новая сущность, внести их в "squad_descr_companions_x.ltx" (в configs/misc).
Задача не сложная, но муторная.

You have to edit file "loadout_comp_mcm.script" in scripts folder.
Change 200 (in line below) to anything you want. Higher points = higher price.
"local points_per_tier = 200 -- points cost per tier"
I tried doing that, but my problem is how I open the "loadout_comp_mcm.script" folder. My PC says I don't have any apps that can open it, can you help me out, please?
