Mod that adds bulletholes to npcs etc. Converted to DLTX!
Bullethole Decals but converted into DLTX (MUCH THANKS TO "L4U6H1N6-LUN4T1C" for helping me out on this one!)
I find the game is lacking with the gore so i did some editing with texture files and configs to make this.
NOTE: The decals can look weird sometimes especially on certain enemies or npcs with full body armor. Also the decals dont appear from a very long range.
Also i am using the "Gore Mod Port addon" for those blood decals on walls etc.. you can find it HERE!
I HIGHLY recommend using "BOTZ - BLOOD OF THE ZONE" for those nice decals as shown above! you can find it HERE!
Something to mention is that the size of the decals can vary with the weapon being used for example a shotgun blast will have very small decals but a wide spread and lots of decals. There is a way to change those values but at them moment i will not touch those.
If you want you can change the values yourself in the "weapon_ammo.ltx" located in Gamedata/configs/items/weapons.
Look for the ammo type and check for a line called "wm_size" (for example on 9x19mm its 0.041) The higher the number the bigger the decal that appears on each shot.
Install: drop the files from the archive into your gamedata folder located wherever you installed the game.
HD models compatibility?
Because someone would`ve ask later, anyway.
not sure im not using HD models (its bugging my inventory). maybe someone else volunteers making it compatible.
Hey, kinda unrelated but the UI bugging out has a fix. I imagine you tried to use the lite version?
Anyway, to fix the UI in HD models lite version, you need to pick the "ui" folder inside the "texture" folders from the normal HD models and paste it over the "ui" found in HD Models Lite. The fix provided by the original uploader didn't work for me, so it took a while to get to this fix.

Wait, do you get full decals showing on your models?. All I get most of the time is partial decal showing. Pictures below show how HD Models + This addon look for me.

Not really fully, just like yours. But it gets the job done. If you go for head shot it will show each time.

works with HD models lite but the only downside is that sometimes the decals dont show in limbs specially legs or arms probably because the game engine or the anomaly devs do this to prevent fps drops if there are to many decals already being rendered, good addon tho
Could you tell us which "few lines of code" you changed in the system.itx so we can search for them and manually add them in?
in system.ltx under [bloody_marks] "wallmarks"
and "blood_drops" which is right underneath it (so you dont have impact decals showing up on the ground when you hit someone with bleeding damage

OK, so the game by default uses "wm_blood_1" through "wm_blood_1_5" and "wm_blood_drop_1" through "wm_blood_drop_4" as hit decals on bodies. This is good to know for future texture editing. Thank you again!
Download WinMerge and you can easily solve most if not all mod conflicts.
Does this change the way my blood textures look?, or just adds the bullethole decals?.
the textures folder already has changed wallmarks so probably yes. If you want to change it you gotta edit the system.ltx
you can see which textures are wallmarks and which are decals so you just have to change the name etc.

If possible, changing this addon into a DLTX format would be much more useful for compatibility. Not sure if its worth the effort though but pointing it out

Dismemberment_0.81 works great. Allows dismemberment on shogun blasts, explosions and enables popping heads with sniper shots. In my opinion, it's a pretty vital mod.

I just load it before ****'s and FVM now and it works fine, all good.
i tried editing the distance for [bloody_marks] in the system.ltx file to see if bullethole decals would render at far distances. i did several tests but nothing much seemed to change. also im having trouble identifying which one is the min distance and which is the max distance. Did you have any luck figuring how to make them render at far distances?

"BOTZ" adds particle effects for bullet impacts and the "Gore mod Port" adds the wallmarks (the blood decals on walls, floors, etc..). This mod adds decals on Bodies for Mutants and Stalkers.
You advise in your description, I installed this addon: "Gore mod Port", but your addon overwrites it, so the blood stains on walls and floor are the same as in your mod.
Description was old and i just added some stuff in. The "Gore mod port" files are already in this one yeah gotta change that.
Please keep the compatibility to "bring back" CVFX 3.5: the new CVFX is not good compared to 3.5 for multiple reason (blue smoke from burners, etc).

Hey so I have bloodstains on the ground showing up as the bullethole decals from this mod can you let me know why this would be happening? I'm using Escape From Pripyat 3.0 and the Blood of The Zone mod.
where do they appear?
Is there anyway to make the decals last longer? I looked at the config and there doesn't seem to be any values for lifetime. The decals disappear relatively fast. Otherwise great mod!

Does it work on dx8? no bullet holes show up when i hit military npcs.
Any way for us to edit the time the decal will disapear ?
And could there be a way the decal appear from further distances ?
I dont even know how to edit those myself to be honest.. like i said before if anyone wants to modify this any further then go for it
Edit in user.ltx in appdata. Parameter r__wallmark_ttl. You need to set the value to 600.
