A simple edit to make 2D scopes from boomsticks and sharpsticks latest update compatible with 21:9 screens.
Based on knightbernabeu's original file here. As it hasn't been updated in a while, I thought I'd tweak it to make it compatible with the latest B&S update and make a few additional edits.
As per the original file, it removes the black border around the binoculars. I have also edited the textures for both 1pn93 sights and the pn23 to remove the weird black box around the texture in game.
I have only tested this on 3440x1440 but I'm hoping it should work for other resolutions. (Let me know if not!)
Please let me know if you have any compatibility issues or find any bugs/oddities/anomalies etc. and I will do my best to try and fix them. I aim to keep this updated with any future B&S updates.
B&S not installed yet:
- Simply drag and drop into the B&S main folder before installing and overwrite the files. Then load B&S in your preferred manner.
B&S installed already:
- Manually: Simply drag and drop the gamedata folder into your anomaly root folder and overwrite when prompted.
OR
- Load with your favourite mod loader

Really need to have the BAS?
This is made for BAS scopes that display incorrectly on 21:9 resolutions. All vanilla scopes should already display correctly in 1.5.1
Would this work on the new 3.0 release?
As in EFP? I haven't played it myself so couldn't tell you I'm afraid. GAMMA, for example, includes a 21:9 patch as standard but I don't know about EFP. I imagine it uses different scope textures to BAS anyway so it would just replace them and probably cause issues.

The binoculars still seem to have a misplaced vignette, and is there a way to remove the green "snot" from the Firefield Kemper XL M Reflex Sight BaS?
EDIT: found what I needed to fix the reflex sight, and I'm sure I can figure out the binocs.

The recent Oct 6th BaS patch causes this mod to crash the game when entering the Red Forest. Go to the mod. Modify the scopes_21 file (from this mod) in Notepad and add the following section to it to make this 21:9 mod compatible with the latest BaS patch:

This was beyond helpful, I've been dealing with this issue for a good while now. I will also add this, if you, yes you the reader, apply this fix. Make sure to paste this under <w> the first one you see. Its probably common sense but I don't have that.
This has been so helpful it was driving me crazy.
Military binoculars are squashed horisontally (ie. scope view is round, not oblong). Possible to fix this?
