The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.

Anomaly Quarantine Edition: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the WinMerge - Patch v2 - I like to suffer, but not in the way that Misery mod made me suffer. So I made my own modpack for Anomaly. Intended to be played with Ironman (and Lifegranter if you're scared) and Campfire saves.

Once you have the v1 files downloaded, download the v2 patch from here. Overwrite the actor sounds with the must folder, and apply the optional files as you see fit. The Reshade .ini file requies that you have Reshade installed.
I recommend you apply the texture mods from bmblbx176 as well. There is conflict with the B&S textures but I haven't seen anything completely wonky yet.

Still troubleshooting
You should make sure "Geiger Counter only" is on and "Anomaly beep" is off, since you've got Geiger counters and Anomaly detectors to buy/find. This mod is literally incompatible with everything other than ReShade (highly recommended).
BEFORE YOUR SPAWN AS A LONER TO A RANDOM LOCATION – THERE’S A TON MORE SPAWN POINTS SO CHOOSE ONE OR YOU’RE PROBABLY NOT STARTING IN CORDON.

Cool stuff
- 4k Masks/HUD reflections (the hud reflections are tied to item animations - if you've got them disabled then the reflections either don't turn on or don't turn off - press "]" to turn item animations on and off in game)
- AI have (mildly) volumetric headlamps. I dunno how much performance it kills but i like it
- The handheld flashlight is a 1000 lumen thrower because my handheld flashlight at home is-
The headlamp is a 50 lumen piece of trash because my headlamp at home is and also it means there's a reason to keep to handheld flashlight maybe
- Press B to check your ammo before you run out
- The weird brown thing on the magazines when you add them to your loadout is a mag pouch. Just have faith
- When you turn off accessible zone, Guides sell routes for you now
- you can turn up or turn down mutants and stalkers with more fidelity now in the settings
What's easier:
- AI carry a reasonable amount of equipment.
- AI uniforms won't often be in good shape (you did just kill them) but their weapon probably will be ok
- Stashes are pretty good- Cool new guns from B&S- Cleaned up and merged icons a bit
- You don't need toolkits to swap out weapon parts (just like real life!) but you do need them to upgrade
- Toolkits and tools last longer
- The DJs on the radio stations got fired and replaced by ones who don't suck so much
- Death animations and noises are nice, and the voiced actor tells them how much they deserved it
- EFT medical items are more straightforward than the Anomaly ones
- Your character is voiced so you can hear how angry he is at the zone- Technicians let you borrow their workbench for 30 minutes, but you can craft/buy a portable workbench you can carry with you (or keep in a stash) too
- The SUCC noise is way less now. I tuned gas mask breathing down to something that doesn't piss me off
- Stalkers looks prettier thanks to HD models and the HIResStalker faces
- You can rank up faster
- Mutants don't autoaim
- The moon changes phases
What's Harder
- Your handheld flashlight is legit, but your headlamp sucks
- I didn’t make the mod for others, I made it for me and decided to share out of the kindness of my heart, so it may not make you happy
- NVG Gen1 sucks (monocular), Gen2 is decent (binocular and better saturation), and Gen3 is nice (panoramics) but I increased the size of the vignettes 20% bit so Gen3 is almost fullscreen
- Radiation everywhere and only AntiRads are great at removing it
- Press 8 to check radiation level if you've got a geiger and it has battery otherwise you have no idea how you're irradiated- Press 9 and imagine you're sticking your thumb in the air to check the weather
- weather affects radiation levels- Minimap is disabled, you only get a compass (I'll include an optional file in update 2 if you want the minimap back)
- Traders don't have much unless you or another stalker sells them artifacts so they can order stuff from Amazon
- You get toolkits during the living legend questline- Mutants are in larger packs and hate you, but they hate each other too
- The PM pistol icon sucks. I know. I'll change it for another one later
- The rate of fire of weapons is slow, I’ll probably speed it up in v2 but I didn’t merge Yim’s weapon tweaks yet, only change to universal sensitivity

They should be based on how I merged them - are you crashing with my mod?
The only bugs I'm tracking right now is the voiced actor won't shut up when your stamina is low and I occasionally get an error about the pk-a section (which I believe is related to the B&S AK74m) not being able to be opened.
nope, i was talking about my way to merge the two addons; i think the best way to debug the two addons is to open the developer tools F7 and click to Trade (T) to see if crashes, for me crashed everytime with trader overhaul :/

Perfect pack. I'm new to merging, how much of a headache would merging Yim's be if I tried it myself?
Not impossible, but it'll be quite the headache. There's like 120 .ltx files to merge. I will do it eventually, but everyone wrote the weapon lines in the .ltx files in a different order so it's hard even with winMerge.
Okay so I offloaded a Jellyfish to Dushman, and the next day he had a wider selection of stuff to trade. However, the mechanic and the medic still have nothing to buy, I can't sell artifacts to them, my legs are almost broken, and I don't have anymore ibuprofen lol.
I have a problem with some scopes, they are offset to the right, like on the right side of my screen.
Do you have the HUD at 0.67 FOV? If so, which scopes and what screen resolution do you have?

Great mod pack with all the needed features for an immersive experience. All that being said, i encountered a bug or compatibility issues regarding the BodyHealth System. For some reason, when I hover over the medicine, no display is shown on what the temporary/permanent benefits of the medicine will be after I take them.
The health bars always stay WHITE if they are full or grey if I am missing some health...so temporary health feature is not working for me, or the interface. I don't know if it is a problem that the EFT Medical Overhaul causes, or the new interface, etc. Is there anyone else that encounters this problem?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll take a look. The temporary health feature (where it shows up in red) never worked for me if I've got the EFT Medical Overhaul, but it does show up in white. For instance, if you have an arm or leg splint, or surgical tools, the bar shifts to show you what you'll have if it's applied. I would like to see if I can solve that though.
I think some of the missing feature you'll looking for is because of the EFT Medical overhaul, since the only way to fix your appendages is the surgical kits, splints, etc (the items listed next to the appendages on the interface), or to sleep an entire day or two away.

I have a small bug that does not allow me to save properly. Whenever I try to save by a campfire, it plays the save animation ( screen goes black) but then it comes back and just hangs there. I am not able to move or do anything, but the npc's around me behave normally. I am basically looking through my mask standing still. Cant turn the head and cant do any movements.
When looking at the task manager, the game is not frozen. This forces and alt-ctrl-delete, as I can not go back to the game's menu.
Only other mod installed is the 4k/8k texture pack that was posted yesterday, which should not conflict with anything. Playing on DX 11, hud fov .67, 1920x1080

Huh, that's a weird one. Could you DM me a link that has your xray log file in it? Under /appdata/logs
Next time i play and it happens I will write it here. The problem with it is that I dont think there is a log file, as the game runs ( according to the system manager). Also, I found out by looking through the forums, etc...that the problem is from the 'Immersive Campfire Saving' mod...and it is referred to by the community as '' the 30 sec freeze''.
Apparently after 30 sec of not being able to move, the game actor will be able to move normally.
On the same note, on the author's modpage, this should have been fixed in the last patch on 1 September or so...but I guess it still happens in some situations.

Thanks for the info man, I haven't run into the issue myself, running campfire saves as well. I will look into it further, and if there's another update to the immersive campfire saves I'll include it.
I dunno if it's for better or for worse, but I run my main game instance with all the *.db0 *.db1 etc. files unpacked into gamedata. I removed my db folder. This resulted in averaging 5-10fps higher and with significantly less stuttering. I do have a ****** CPU but I do have an NVMe SSD and sufficient RAM, so I'm not sure if that "bottleneck" I had previously applies to this situation.

Nice collection of mods you merged here, I must emphasize my appreciation. I run a similar, but *much* lighter setup since I am not exactly confident in my merging abilities lol, so I just use what seems compatible right out the gate. So this mod pack is a big deal for me.

I will redo this edition once Anomaly 1.5.0 final is released and other mods are completed - but it will require re-doing the entire modpack since few mods are compatible with 1.5.0 final without rewriting sections of them.
For now, I am focusing on writing a new shader-based nightvision effect.
Thanks a lot for the pack. Do you have a JSGME mod profile or anything like that so we can customize it? I'd love to remove texture packs cos my fps is too low with them.
Unfortunately no easy way to do so using JSGME - I did this as a one size fits most kind of mod and have everything manually merged.
I do have two possible solutions that could help:
1 - Reduce the texture resolution using the in-game settings menu.
2 - Go to the anomaly/gamedata/configs/models/object folder and open light_night.ltx. Change line 8: "volumetric = true", to "volumetric = false".
If that doesn't help, and you've done the typical methods of improving performance in Anomaly (lower grass density, lowered view distance, etc.), then it may be the large number of .script files that this modpack relies on that's causing your slow performance.

It may be that one of the ui_ani_cursor_0xx.dds files got corrupted or deleted somehow, or just for some reason the animation doesn't work correctly.
To remove the cursor, just delete the 8 files called ui_ani_cursor_01.dds through ui_ani_cursor_08.dds under gamedata/textures/ui.
Do you disable the radiation hud effect when playing this mod? Or do you tweak anything else? It's insanely annoying to be with dark and flashing vision all the time from radiation. It only makes the starting phase a total pain in the *** until you get a good helmet.
I understand your pain - a couple guys on Discord are trying to come up with a way to reduce the intensity of the radiation effect, but unfortunately it seems more complicated as nobody has come up with a solution yet.

Hey, I can't seem to transition levels for some reason. I don't know if its because I am trying to Fanatic along with me or if its something else. The only mods I have is your mod, Damien's animation tweaks(only the pistol sprint) & immortal companions. But everytime I try to go to the swamps from the Cordon from that path near Loris & Xenotech, I can not go. Maybe it is Fanatic or maybe its your mod or maybe the immortal companions, but please help.
Are you still experiencing this? The only time I ever had issues with level transitions was after messing with debug menu and fast travel options - but that was without any mods. Quicksave and quickload fixed it for me.
Yeah, I reloaded my saves and it worked again. So I am not experiencing this bug anymore.

There was a weapon parts overhaul mod that recently came out with new jamming mechanics, any chance of that being integrated? I think it's a fantastic fit for this pack.
I won't touch this pack until after 1.5f is released - I have too many other projects at the moment.

Hello mate. Do you have time to update this pack now, as the Anomaly mod is out of Beta?
I know it is probably a lot of work, but your modpack was/is the most complete and complex modpack that exists for the anomaly mod. You cover every aspect of the game possible with all the best mods for immersion. Its only problem is that now I/we do not play U4H8 version of the game anymore.
I hope you find the time to do it, as playing the updated anomaly mod (1.5.2) seems lackluster in comparison with when I am playing your modpack with U4H8.

It's less about time, and more about waiting a little bit for the mod authors that made this modpack possible to update their work. It's on my to-do list though - since this was my preferred way to play as well!
