READ DESCRIPTION IMPORTANT! This is a steam fixed smod game that does work. I do not get credit for making the game the person who made the game internet page was lost. I wanted to make a tutorial of how to install it but I will have to upload it my self. It is in a winrar folder. Extract folder into steam/steamapps/sourcemods or watch the tutoiral.

SMOD Standalone is a "updated" version of SMOD client that takes advantages of some Orangebox engine features like LAA flag; it also fixes LUA and introduces a new file structure allowing for smaller 3-rd party SMOD mods.
If you're into SMOD we recommend you to try it out, because this "update" is not made mainly for SMOD devs, but also users that love SMOD but are unable to play it due to Steam and Half-Life 2 updates.

While waiting for this look up SMOD Redux 9 on moddb, it doesnt add much but it works, also with the pre-update maps in the file for people that got HL2 after Valves update spree
