I've the Problem too. I try 7zip and winrar and both can't open the archiv.
If you can't open this archive, download the newest version of 7-zip (18.05) and it will work fine.
ahhh, of course... [facepalm]. Thanks!
hey love this, but cant add the 1.8 update to nexus from the mod add from file option am I doing something wrong?
what I did was use 7zip and made the rar file a zip file by using 7zip add to archive option and then it let me add to nexus through add mod from file option hope this helps if anyone else had problems.

A suggestion. Lance in steam as DLC, is much easier to manage and save.
If I wanted to consolidate files, I go by file tree right?
ie Part 2 textures-architecture-windhelm goes into Part 1 textures-architecture
Is there any reason that's a bad thing to do?
No, you can consolidate without worry. Keep file structure obviously.
Update works perfect for me, I opened it with no problems.
I am new to modding and am a little confused on how to use this to updates the other 3 files. I am using vortex and installed all the mod files there along with the update. With the update installed I just get a notification saying there is a file conflict.

Do you need all the files or just the most recent.
I am using Vortex to install. No problems extracting files but when I install the update, Vortex calls out "unresolved conflicts". I'm very new to modding Skyrim and am not familiar with how to resolve this issue.

Will there be a Skyrim Anniversary Edition version. That runs with SKSE64 ?
do you have an SE version?
yes I do.
I am just questionning if the author of this texture overhaul is still active because I messaged but no answer.
So do I install this after the first three parts using MO2? I am so confused.
Many thanks for this work. Realistic Overhaul allows skyrim to look its best and remain basically vanilla.
