Version 2, which I've been working on for a little while, is on its way with a few tweaks. There is also the option to play with the stock sides as well.
I did consider the feedback regarding vehicles, consulting with a few other members of the community. I gave a few options, and they said the best option is to leave it as-is. I have, however, tried to remedy some of the issues, but some of those issues come down to the AI, and also affect stock maps (key example is Tatooine: Dune Sea where AI will fly their fighters into rock formations). On the same topic, I cannot help with regards to the AI's 'aimbotting' on harder difficulties, this is the way the AI is programmed in SWBF1.
Its a great map but the playable area is too small for the starfighters and I think the map could use more ground vegetation. Maybe some jungle areas that aren't solid blocked areas too. Also an increased reinforcement could would be great. Maybe to 300 like in BF2.
I did actually address two of those issues in V2, mainly with including more vegetation in the east side of the map. I do have to be careful about that as each bush and tree placed is an object and there is a maximum number where the game will just stop working.
I considered removing the flyers, but ultimately, after consulting a few other people for feedback, it was decided to keep them in. As the map will also be included as part of the Demake project in the future, the vehicles will be removed entirely for that version.
