This is my first mod ever made that I feel was good enough to release. It started out as a small mod for my own personal use but quickly turned out to take a few weeks of work to finish. Sadly I cannot guarantee that I will keep this mod updated and or tweaked. I am not a sound editor or computer wizard so these sounds are not the cleanest.

Warning! these sounds are somewhat loud so start with low volume in game, I am not responsible if you blow up your eardrums or your game.... or computer.

Replaces pretty much all weapons + explosives such as flashbangs, c2 charges, gas canisters etc.

Some small tweaks have been made to other sounds such as

Paintball gun, projectiles - Lower sound volume only

Bullets hitting flesh - Lower sound volume only. If you do not want this just skip installing SW_bullets.uax

Bugs: Only one that I know is that sometimes the game skips playing some sounds, this has been a problem for me in the original game with no mods. It seems to happen when there are too many sounds being played at once. I do not know why or how to fix this or if this is even the actual problem, it has never been bad enough for me to search for a solution tough.

Installing this mod should be simple just drag and drop all the files from this mods folders to the corresponding folders in your game directory. (make backups of your original files)

Good? Bad? Absolutely disgusting? Feel free to tell me what I did right and wrong even if I might not update this mod, constructive criticism is always good.

Thank you♥

Hi I have answered this exact question on the Youtube video of this mod so I might reply to the same person here but I will post what I wrote and what the user on Youtube did to fix it.

''! Cannot open 7zxa.dll
The system cannot find the file specified.
what does this mean?''

This is what I answered to that question on Youtube.

''I have never heard of this problem before but it sounds like there is something wrong with the zip file or the program you are using to extract the files with.

I would try to download the mod again something might have been corrupted in the files when downloading it?

If that doesn't work I would shut off any anti virus programs that may be in the way since they can act really stupid sometimes and stop you from opening and using certain files?

If that doesn't work I would download or redownload 7zip, I believe you might be using Winrar? and there could be a problem with extracting 7zip files using Winrar so try to download 7zip and use that to extract the files with?

If none of that works then I don't know what the problem could be, A simple restart of the computer might do it or there could be a program or windows itself that needs to update something?

let me know if it worked or didn't work.😄''

This is what the user with the question answered.

''all I did was download 7zip and it worked thank you...''

I hope that this could be of some help and if someone else comes across this problem, Hopefully they will read this and they might be able to fix it.🙂

Yes this mod replaces all weapon sounds for the original Swat game the Stetchkov Syndicate expansion and the Elite Force mod.

Install my mod last so it can replace the Elite Force weapon sounds.🙂

Thank you! and sorry for the late reply.

Yes you can use these files I don't mind. Would be very nice to get some credit for them somewhere if it gets released but it's ok either way.

Basically go wild with them edit them and use them however you want!😁

These sounds are amazing, much better than the vanilla sounds in the game.

Small question, Would it be possible to find the .wav files for these? I'd love to use some of these in GTA:V LSPDFR. I've tried finding some on there but they aren't the best.

Thank you!😄
And sorry for such a late reply.😕

You can find the wav files using the SwatED.exe (Swat 4 Editor) in your Swat 4 game folder inside the, content > system folder. If you don't have the SwatED program I'm sure it's downloadable somewhere.

You need the SwatED program to extract the .wav files because they are all packaged in a .uax file.

Launch SwatED, In the top left click on the ''View'' Tab then click ''Show Sound Browser'' In the new window that pops up click the tab ''File'' then ''Open'' Now navigate to the ''weapons.uax'' Files there are more than one of these files with some small variation in the names of these files but they are easy to find.

One is in the ''content > sound'' folder,

Another is in the ''content expansion > sound'' folder,

The last one is in the ''SEF > content > sound'' folder.

Choose one and the program will open that file so you can browse all sounds inside it you can double click on a sound to play it in the program (WARNING!) Lower your volume before playing a sound or you might go deaf.

Click on one of the files then click the ''file'' tab then ''export'' And now you should have a .wav file.😄

One thing I should mention about modding sound files for GTA V if you didn't know already.

(Note I'm talking from my own noob experience with modding GTA V sound files so you probably now more than I do about it, If you have done it before)

GTA V is very picky about file size length of audio and even what frequency some files use I believe, So modding sound files for that game is a pain I don't know about gun sounds but car sounds are next to impossible to get right. It can also start well and end up badly just because the file that the sounds are packaged in gets to big in file size and now no audio is playable at all from that file ingame.

Just a warning about that game from my own experience with that game, I did replace some voice lines and they worked great I tried to make my own sound for a car and it was a week or two of work that didn't lead anywhere.

Either way sorry about the late reply, Good luck.🙂
