Nice work! It's much better with the green one than the white one before.

I prefer the old one though, feels more realistic since the weapon IS mounted not with your average joe everyday NV, but a specially built scope with a big INFRARED lamp literally stuck underneath the weapon.

But eh, do whatever you want, i can always just remove the custom configs when i play this mod.

Wrong! The old white one, very unreal, as specific by developers on code note, was only a kind of effect made to try, finished only on ps2 and x-box versions. Thoose games uses green night visor, as the real M3-carbine and MP44 Vampyr. You mean coloured termic visor as Splinter Cell? Do not exist in 40s.

Night vision was created way back in 1929 ( En.wikipedia.org ), but not the thermal vision. Thermal vision was used only after WW2 ( En.wikipedia.org ).

Ah, i see, i apologize.
I was under the impression that the weapon itself technically wasn't supposed to exist for a while.

Imfdb.org
"It uses the early M1 / M2 scope with the IR lamp mounted underneath the weapon (though it lacks the correct vertical front grip), and, surprisingly, is depicted with a realistic black-and-white image rather than the normal red or green tint seen in movies and video games."

Wolfenstein.wikia.com
"The OSA M1S Snooper Rifle used a real life infrared scope developed in 1943 by the US Army, to defeat the infiltration tactics of the Japanese. They were later used by the M3 carbine, first deployed in the invasion of Okinawa in 1945. This weapon system is still being used in Korean war, until being replaced by more dedicated passive-Night Vision scope for sniper rifles."

Ugca.org
"Mass production of a greatly improved infrared night vision system began in 1950 with the “20,000 volt Set No. 1”. This could be mounted on any M1 or M2 carbine, making it a “M3 Carbine.” About 20,000 of these scope sets were made in 1950-1951, and they were used during the Korean War and remained in inventory until the mid-1960s."

I sincerely apologize if i do make a stupid for a game that has a literal lightning gun and a minigun.

No matter, just an explanation of my choice for that scope.
