Description
The Pattern Enfield 1853 Rifle is a muzzleloading rifle adopted by the British Army in 1853 to replace the ageing Brown Bess. The Enfield alongside the Snider-Enfield saw widespread use in the Boshin War and Bakumastu periods and although not a breech loader, it is a more modern choice than smoothbore Gewehrs or Tanegashimas. (*Note all modern firearms in images uploaded from this point will contain some sort of B&I II Asset)
