Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The Eurocopter Tiger was first conceived as a joint venture between France and West Germany in the early 1980s. However, when the new helicopter started to see action during NATO operations in Afghanistan, a series of problems became apparent: The German UHT variant was designed as a missile-armed support helicopter for use against Soviet era tank armies and had to make do with a static 12.7mm gunpod rather than a proper autocannon turret, making it unsuitable for counter-insurgency operations. In addition, the wiring in these early models was flawed, forcing the Tigers to remain on the ground for most of the time. Whilst the French HAP variant fared better in combat and was used as the basis for additional export versions, the German Tigers would not receive the necessary upgrades for years due to a general neglect of military matters by the government and thus delivered an abysmal performance during the GLA's incursion into Central Europe in 2028. After the civilian governments of Europe had collapsed in the wake of the attack, the Bundeswehr assumed temporary control of Germany and proceeded to develop a new version to iron out these critical flaws: Commonly dubbed the 'Koenigstiger' by the Germans, the updated model was armed with two chin-mounted, high-capacity rocket pods linked to the pilot's HUD that could be aimed in the same way as a turret, allowing the Tiger to lay down a deadly accurate barrage of high-explosive/armour-piercing rockets in addition to taking on flying targets with Starstreak anti-air missiles. Further adding to the gunship's versatility, it is also able to deploy the Icarus baloon mine to lock down down the airspace above an area of operations. The new Tiger showed its superiority during Operation Nemesis and was soon adopted by both the ECA and, somewhat ironically, the French Army as well.
It's too...
awesome? incredible? awe-inspiring? fearsome?
badass? awesome? cool? deadly? colorfull?
Small
STRIKER VX from ra3 uprising sun!!
Fearful? deadly? accurate? stealthy? powerful? multipurpose? OR... is it too cool for you?
hind + comanche ? :D
Nope
Real Eurocopter Tiger + redesign of SWR developers (or as shown here AaronAsh)
;)
A lot better then old one!
haha koenigstiger... and once again history repeats it self.
looks great :D
Dat's alot of firepower!!
I´m gonna call it the "Stubsnase" :D
Nice Work!!!
Flying Bangaltiger....
Russian armor, bend over and take it!
I see where you got the idea from for the bottom rotatable missile launchers. (Tom Clancys End War Cheetah Helicopter)
Not really liking the design either. Looks a bit just like diffrent designs thrown together. Yeah go ahead and give me thumbs down lol. Just giving opinion.
Heh, I knew the chin-mounted turret was based of the Cheetah's.
The whole thing looks great except for the exhaust pipes. Their boxy shape makes it look weird and six of them is a bit too much :/
Design is fine, but rotor seems to be too close to pilot's cabin.
I would place it farther a bit.
And heli's nose could be a bit longer.
The rest is just awesome :D
You should see the osprey, the blades a so close that if you turn a little while refueling in air you could snap the refueling hose.
Look at the real one..its fine like it is.
Looks....cute!...
Sorry but it looks not smooth enough .. but only my opinion.. also I don't like the Idea of a helicopter which is armed whith thath many rockets only mounted ugly as hell...
...and by the time you actually get to test these choppers, you'll never want to use a more realistic ECA Tiger with a generic thirty-mil again.
military weapons aren't made to be pretty, they are made to be functional. i dont care if it looks like a flying dumptruck, if it kills russian tanks it's a winner for me
looks more like a tigershark
agreed
How 'bout those rocket pods?
Brutal and massive firepower superiority :3
im agree with others the quality of model is great art but the unit doesnt looks realistic :/
It does look kinda unusual and snub-nosed, but that's fine. I wouldn't want all the aircraft to look the same anyway; it'd make them harder to tell them apart at first glance.
How could it possibly deploy balloon mines without them getting immediately caught in the rotors though?
Is this for one specific general, or all of the ECA? If the latter, who gets the Harrier?
Fairly simple the mines are dispensed and the balloon bit of the mine inflates shortly after beeing popped out ;)
1.8 seems soon...
the look a bit cartonish to me i also could just have played to much borderlands nice models thou
Does it reload in air or does it have to go back to the helipad.
most likly 1st
this is wonderful :D
WHy all of the european ground vehicle are German ? (Not all but he big part of them and except the "SF" unit)
Because Germany is traditionally associated with powerful tanks, hence why the ECA has Leopards, Gepards and Jagdmammuts. However, their Lynx APCs are Swedish, Pandurs are Austrian and Mortar Tracks are British, to name a few exceptions. Besides, Germany would most likely run one of the largest military budgets in the ECA.
it does remind me of a shark, but i like that.
Europeans are also Humans. make them to look like a REAL one. They look like aliens in this game.
Ooo Sexy
