Description
Many planets in the known galaxy are orbited by moons and while some of them are habitable, most are nothing more than chunks of rock that were caught in the gravitational pull of their host.
No in-game benefit; prop only.
*Over the next week, I will be releasing improved planet models interspersed with any regular updates that may come out. Stay tuned for these as there will be several!
This is probably the smallest change of all the planets... The model and texture are the same as the original. The improvement is in the normal mapping, which brings out some definition in the surface features. Since the original game texture was actually just of our own earthly moon, I did also find a higher resolution image to use as well.
Seeing things like this make me wonder for the 100th time what the base game would have looked like with an extra year or two of polish.
As usual, great work here!
Yeah, it was still a good game when it came out but they missed a lot of opportunity.
