A remote planet covered in ice and snow, Hoth offers little value to most but remains quite important to those seeking a world where they can operate away from watchful eyes. As is the case for countless smugglers and criminals throughout time, who have made bases on the planet, deemed too inhospitable to permanently colonize.
Due to it's reputation and remoteness, the Rebel Alliance made use of the planet as a hideout during the Civil War but were discovered and the infamous defeat at the Battle of Hoth occurred. Wreckage from the disaster still litters the planet and it is considered by all sides to be a war grave and remains undisturbed.
Controlling Hoth in-game grants no bonuses but it's outer-rim location will offer access to other critical planets. In other words, it will be a staging area to whomever controls it.
I thought Hoth was a Outer planet right next to Bespin?
Now see, I'm getting all Star Wars: Rebellion on everyone... But that game mistakenly places it in the mid-rim. Corrected.
