Might want to work on that V nose thing; Specifically The height of it. Widen the top of the dome, Eye proportions are a bit off too, but that's all petro's fault. if you used theirs as a base mesh. Body looks good. Keep it up.

_Farseer im not sure if the picture just looks that way but in my opinion the stormtroopers look like they are leaning to far forward. Kinda like they are hunch backs when they run instead of looking like regular soldiers when they tuck their head down and run. The firing stance is spot on to the movies though!
Great job!

I think it's just that particular frame of the animation. It's really awkward looking when viewed as a still image... I think that "leaning" effect isn't so odd when seen in action. I mean, you do lean forward when you run so it needs to be there to an extent... Maybe once you see the full anim, you will change your mind.

Nice :P
will you give the rebel's and empirial infantery some distinctive features each? like different mobility, durability...?

Yes, to an extent. The Mandalorians will obviously have stronger infantry than any other faction, NR favoring light-quick infantry, and so on.

Wow, really wow, with amazing graphics, animations, then all you need is new planets, new story campaign and voila, top mod of the year.

I think that most of the things youre asking is in there allready, the story is about the mandalorians, not sure about planets though, but if memory serves, the_Farseer once commented on that the planets should be at their correct coordinates according to lore.

But I might be completely of track with all this.

Yes, there will be new planets (and already are in version 4). As for story...the mod does have a storyline but I think Thrawn is referring to an actual campaign-mode. That is something that can be done but is more more tricky and time consuming; it's a full project in and of itself.

I am really glad you are impressed with the graphics and stuff though guys!

Amazing work! How about a little video showing the new animations in action?

I am considering it. I lost my activation keys for FRAPS though since I had to reformat a while back... Not sure where to get them back :(

Xfire as a feature where you can record videos of your game play. that's what i use for my trailers and showcases

Yeah...I hate Xfire though. I would really rather now install it. I have a program at work that I can use if I bring it home. I'll figure out a way.

Sad to hear this. But isn't there also a free version of FRAPS that allows you to record gameplay? I think you can only record about 30 seconds with this demo, but it should be enough to show the animations.

It's time limited AND it leaves a watermark... Plus, I paid for the full version so I want my license key! Haha. It sucks too because I paid for it only about a week before my hard drive kicked the bucket. Completely LAME.

Yeah! :) The full LOD model for the Stormtrooper wasn't as boxy as others but it was still pretty low detail.

These are friggin epic, I trust we'll be seeing a new model for the New Republic infantry as well?

All models in the mod will be custom-made or improved from previous version. Also, I will not be using borrowed models... Any model used in the mod will be made by me.

Is it just me or are the troopers a bit sturdier now? They now look like actually wearing armor. I'm also really starting to love the "chipped paint" teamcolors.
Looking forward to the the other new infantry models. ;)

Yes, the original models were very skinny... The proportions would have been correct, had the units been naked...but even light armor adds quite a bit of bulk.

The chipped paint and stuff adds a bit of 'battle wear' that I like as well :)

Can't wait to get them done and hear your feedback!

After a second look I also realized you gave them proper E-11s instead of the stupid oversized version of this: Starwars.wikia.com
Well done! That detail always bothered me in the original game.

Yes, yes I did :) The repeating blaster was common amongst Stormtroopers but it is a sidearm...not a rifle meant for real combat. Glad you noticed!

that has always been a pet peeve of mine whoever picked that as the gun must of never seen a star wars movie ever...

It's possible. Petroglyph Studios is more of a board game company than a video game one... That doesn't mean that whoever their modeler is hadn't seen Star Wars but they just weren't aware of that detail. Who knows? I know it's a detail that bugged a LOT of people though, myself included.

Nah i dont buy it they had to consciously make that decision for such a obscure weapon to be resized, Like every media its in it is a pistol the modeler seriously must made a conscious choice to be different that or he is hilariously inept and took the first image of a stormtrooper he saw (link below) and was like"hey thats a dinky gun ill resize it" hahaha im not mad just im shocked thinking about it :)

It's likely that they did see that image and the art director said "the model is fine but it needs to be a rifle, not a pistol" or something like that. Basically, a team of people who didn't know what they were doing... Think about it: a lot of the really deep Star Wars stuff didn't show up until FoC came out (the unused Xizor and Guri models, TIE Phantom, basically a lot of expanded universe stuff) but by then it was probably considered a waste of time to go back and change the gun on one unit (or it had been forgotten about).

I mean, they really did make an attempt to be very immersed with FoC but it, like most expansion packs, was probably rushed by the production company or project manager...

Wow! I stopped tracking this mod, because I thought it's done, nothing more to be done. Downoladed 4 version and didn't pay much attencion since then...

I see that I've been clearly mistaken, it seems that you're not only not slowing down, you're getting much better every day!

Great mod, in some time, maybe it will become even better than Old Republic at War (https://www.moddb.com/mods/old-republic-at-war) , or even Republic at War (https://www.moddb.com/mods/republic-at-war)...

And it's nice to see E-11, a little detail, but one making a huge diffrence.
