So its like a EMP? Disables units for a short duration or is it just a new projectile for something big in work? But nice idea ;)

Will it disable turrets or structures too?

like you said EMPs disable units this projectile only slows them down they can still fire at a normal rate but are slowed in movement speed.

Any known damage that might be added? or is it just purposed to be an EMP? and will it (I'm not sure if this is a stupid question) Affect experimentals?

Great idea, love it so far.

we may add damage to it we are unsure and no it wont affect experimentals as there to large in size.

You could add direct hit damage but not AoE damage. Make it a very small amount though.

lol. all units are ai driven right? all computerized? i know your saying it isnt an emp, but an emp would instantly destroy the units. thatd be a perfect cybran weapon, seeing how it wouldnt affect them.

electro shock would destroy the units, so what about something to do with freezing? that blizzard thing could fire icy projectiles that have snowy trails so if it fires enough, it really looks like a blizzard! itd be a pretty cool affect to have giant ice spikes shoot up from the ground and stop even big units in their tracks. but then thatd freeze the weapon too...

and you dont want to stop the weapon. hmmm

Keep dreaming Haha electro shock wouldn't destroy a unit depends on the voltage it would make them malfunction.

nice will be looking out for that but i must ask why did yall decide on that instead on an emp?

I didn't decide this was just a public idea I brought to life, emps work in the same way.

but emp is just that much better i would fully stop a force instead of just slowing them down instead of putting goo or molasis in the way of their tanks Cdn.ebaumsworld.com

emps do not work the same way. emp is an electro magenetic pulse. if you take a bunch of electro magnets to your computer, it would render it useless forever. thats why if you ever see a hacker rub electro magnets on computers if hes got info on them that he doesnt want ppl to know and hes just about to be caught. electro magnetic force is what runs almost everything in our world today. fast things most likely. sends an electric current through something like copper wire and you put a magnet around it. that wire will go crazy. emfs. i learned that in physics.

emps basically bring another emf into the equation and well that can do all kinds of ****. reverse the current and stuff like that which ***** it up permanently.

electronic shock(what your talking about) would do the same but more directly. an emp can get through insulation like rubber and glass. electric current cannot, but if it does somehow find a way in and is still strong enough to slow it down by ******* with the internal systems(the only way it could), it would permanently **** them up. and unless the movement and weapons systems are entirely different both physically in material and systematically, the shock could affect the weapons system to.

but then this is a game and then you are god in that case. i like the idea of slowing it down but at least make it affect the weapons system too.

Supcom is based in the future you think most robots would be able to absorb electricity, and when i said emps work in the same way i said the function in game :P not in physics, And EMPs are already in the game have been since the DLC just not used to stun, both of you's no RVE uses them for one unit you would know that already if you actually played it !

i have played it but neither of the compys ive played it on actually stay at the speed i set them half way through the game. they slow way down to -10. n then its unplayable. otherwise id be playing it all the time.

You need ether a I5 or I7 any Gen to run supcom2 at a good sim speed.

i have an I7 4770K and the game is still slowing down after 20-30min on a big map (with supcom2013 more than with RVE but still)

i see you did your home waork but here is a new lesson first its the future and they could make things that dont " ***** it up permanently", second of all if you brushed up on your emp info you whould have known that the have allready created electro magetic "sheilding" for most things monkey fist usb drive has it the pentagon is surounded by it and its easy to get.
so you deserve a face plam or 2 and keep in mind that no one will ever know anything!

Here I am running around trying to figure out how to make a projectile at all, and you guys pump out something like this. Great job.

Question: Was the t3 bomber just used to demonstrate this, or will it definitely use this projectile?

unable to move but can shoot, to make up the loss in movement speed, either the rate of fire increase or the power of the weapon itself.....just an opinion

Its meant to be a disadvantage it can be set to affect different units at a different rate, This is still a WIP just trying new things out :).

You should make the missile cause some sort of an effect on the ground like some weird electric field, or maybe just turn it into mud for example :P
