or are you gonna pull an original supcom and make the background a movie? are you guys gonna change the menus themselves? the hub and menu looks so boring. itd be nice if you guys could make a difference in each factions hub.

if you guys make maps, i hope you make big ones. big enough so a mavor couldn't reach a base. i think artillery game enders are unfair. if someone gets one, game over. they are very powerful and accurate, but if you build one, it defeats the purpose of building an army other than using it for defense. i like having artillery for defense, but if i dont keep it on hold fire, it destroys the enemy bases in 5 minutes. same reason on ta esc. lotso cool artillery but if you put em on fire at will, you instantly win. me no likey that.
if you bring any map from fa, bring betrayal ocean.
i forgot to mention that i love artillery. artillery is a really cool art of war but game ending artillery is no fun in strategy games.
in movies and other games, game ending artillery is very cinematic. in strategy games, they just present a stupidly easy way to win a battle.
the purpose of games is for winning a battle through the epicness of clashes, not sitting in the middle of your base with a big cannon.
yeah maybe if it was a movie and everyone was like oh **** they got a world ending cannon! like the campaign! but skirmish battles aren't campaigns.
to me, having a mavor is like having my own mini shiva prime.
the reason i dont like game ending artillery is because you can kill your enemy without them even touching it.
thats also the reason i dont like nukes. i hate nukes even more. yeah awesome instakill explosion but if you dont have anti nuke defenses, your dead. biggest reason i dont play with them. see, i dont like playing online. mainly because ppl complain about not using nukes. so i play offline because i can turn nukes off. id keep them on if the enemy would use them only for defensive purposes but thats impossible.
making big maps is easier and i like big maps because you can have bigger bases. that and battles can be experienced from a safe distance from your base.

my favorite land map from supcom fa was ians cross. id have a big line of defenses including LRA all the way across my part of the canyon. i could leave them on fire at will because they cant reach the enemy bases. they could pound down any experimentals that came close, with a line of megaliths standing behind them. i captured a uef engineer and built a mavor. while it built, i sent my line of megaliths at the enemy but i got them to the edge of the enemy base and BOOM the enemy commander explodes in my face. i zoom out and theres a curved and dotted yellow line leading from the mavor to the enemy base. yup...
really even if an artillery with .5 damage could reach an enemy base, its unfair because unless they break through my defenses, its game over, no matter how powerful their shields are. eventually they would go down. its also the reason i dont like sniper units.
yeah but there is no such sniper unit that hits from your base to the enemies base :P
but there are several f@#$^%@#^ing artillery structures that do so ;)
I always turn off artillery structures...
i do not like unlimited range anythings. i dont like the aeon sniper units. the regular ones from fa. so annoying. i love being able to use super long range artillery in fps games. its a challenge and its great fun to aim them but when your not doing the aiming, its not fun. if i could be aiming and firing a mavor like fps, id love them. theyd be one of my favorites but since aiming them isnt a problem, they are no fun. 20 x 20 maps, the only artys that are like that are the scanthis, mavor and the aeon rapid fire. only the mavor matters on 81 x 81. in the xbox supcom, the scanthis had a really short range. perfect defensive weapon.

Yup the environment is all max, only took about 3 hours lol, I created it the same way I create units, one step at a time :p
