Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

i dont believe i got my point across correctly, i was intending to ask why they are showing us stuff for the future expansions when the current isn't finished yet, seems like building a new town before the road gets there, for lack of a better metaphor

You have failed to comprehend the purpose of these pictures for the last time, Commander.

Being able to see content before the game comes out is to add excitement. It makes you go "Awsome, cant wait to be able to use that". Kindof like trailors for movies and games.

i think the dug are confused how a railguns projectile travels, becuase unless this is a anti-ship weapon a very long range artillery there might be some trouble

Rail gun projectiles follow a standard ballistic trajectory. At that angle and the speed railguns fire it would just shoot really far.

Because it's both. It uses electromagnetic rails to launch mines.

A mine launching railgun.

The model looks good, but the name not so good. In my opinion it suggests a powerfull weapon, something like high speed projectils, but these are'nt high speed weapons. It looks like a catapult and behaves like this. So I would call it Dug Catapult or Dug Artillery, but not Dug Rail Gun. This species is not so progressively.

Uh...

It's called the Dug Railgun because it IS a railgun. It's not a catapult. And it's not artillery, although it functions similar to one.

For some reason, this picture looked a little like a helicopter at first. Nevertheless, very nice and unique model.
