Admiral Yularen's Flagship image - Republic at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Well actually that is the good thing about venators. They are extremely versatile. They were easily modified to be destroyers or carriers or anything else.

Well actually they were star destroyers Venator Class Star Destroyers their roles were warships, transports for delivering entire armies to the surface of a planet and also a carrier because they carried a vast amount of fighters they are very versatile and dangerous ships.

I like the idea of the SPHA-T beam being an ability instead of a hard point. that's the only thing I didn't like about RotM Venators, you couldn't control the weapon.

Taking EPIII into account...I say the Resolute... as we see, the venator passed and fired only one volley of weaponary and took the CIS cruiser down.:)
True that. What is to be considered aswell is that the Invisible Hand was already damaged since she had been to battle for several hours. And thoose open circle Venators arrived in the end of the battle.
I wasnt aware it was damaged, but still, it was only one volley from a already damaged venator :P or the shields would be up.
In episode 3 what you have to realise is that the invisible hand is firing proton torpedoes (or proton rounds) which bypass shields of the Venator (plus the venator's shields were probably already down due to the fact there was an entire CIS fleet defending the I.H. The I.H on the other hand had already lost its shields (hence how Anakin was able to destroy the hangar shield generators whilst in an interceptor) It is mentioned in incredible cross-sections that the I.H was able to easily take on a Venator and win.
However, from the movie we can assume that the attack was not a major threat, General Grievous is not a tactical moron, he wouldnt have taken on the guerilla in full knowledge that he would go down after one volley. Also the venator is structurally stronger than the Invisible hand, the triangluar design lets the whole ship takes hits while the blimp design cannot take major hits and as seen...cracks in halve... XD
