The idea of a Double-Barreled MBT wasn't new to the Soviets. During their secret rearming the Soviet Army went through long years of resurrecting their Heavy Tanks into the battlefield. The Rhino Tank was one of many designs that successfully got the green light and was immediately put into mass-production. The Tank comes armed with a double-barreled HE Cannon that like its ancestor was a monster in the battlefield. Due to their large surplus and availability of it in storage Rhino Tanks can also be called in by paradrop by the Soviet Army.
The Heavy Tank was the only thing really missing from RA2.
