Soooo... Even bigger missiles than the heavy missile frigate, or another weapon system altogether?

Functionally it's identical to the Artillery Frigate from the R.E.A.R.M. on Classic, with just a model reskin for V2 on Remastered.

It shoots three times as far as the Heavy Missile Frigate, but you can only build a limited number of them. The missiles are launched upwards in a long arc, which is purposelly reminescent to the ballistic arc of any artillery.
Having a missile range this long also requires other units being close enough to the target, because this shoots far beyond its own sensor range.
And the Hiigaran enemy will be able to counter these missiles with a Drone Frigate that can shoot them down, so it creates a new interaction and counterplay.

Hello again. :)
The plan is to finalize the initial Vaygr for release till the end of 2020, then switch to Hiigaran.

Would love to see those amazing "sub faction" ships you had in the older releases of REARM classic, towards the end of the work pipeline before you moved on.

They were some really great designs, heres hoping youre blessed with all the free time to bring it around !

Should I be honest? :) I'm looking at a year and a half to two years long sprint of sacrificing most of my free time towards REARM. And the main goal is to finally 'finish' something for once. And that means trimming the fat to efficiently deliver the most bang for the time budget I have. And I dropped far smaller things than whole sub factions to construct a realistic roadmap. Feature creep is my enemy and killer. Being mature about planning is boring as hell, I know. :) But the result will be a solid and released mod. And I promise what you'll get won't be boring.

Now after the initial release is done, there's room for stretch goals. But it all depends. Mostly on how much I'll need a break and how many people will even care about HWRM after the HW3 release.
But these stretch goals revolve mostly around Supercarriers, arming of the Motherships, larger stations, or adding some of the appropriate units to HW1 races too, so they can play along (units like artillery ships etc.).
Focus is the name of the game. If you want a mod, I need to have focus.

Hey Pouk,

I completely understand. As great as the designs were, the Classic REARM did feel as though it suffered at the core of HW2 and its gameplay loop.

That said, im a MASSIVE sucker for cool ships in my 3d space game and im sure you wont disappoint with whatever else you have planned !
