This is Quake 1.5 Compatible Custom Episodes Pack (Q1.5 CCEP) release 2, a selection of 10 worthwhile fan-made singleplayer episodes you can play with Quake 1.5 and the Combat+ add-on. New this release is two new (old) worthwhile custom episodes. These are Cimmerian Nights & Func_Jam1. Terra has unfortunately been removed for compatibility issues presumably with the Darkplaces engine.
Quake 1.5 is great, however there's a nagging issue should you want more and that is incompatibility; finding custom episodes of good quality compatible with Quake 1.5 is not easy. Good thing I have done the work for you. This is Quake 1.5 Compatible Custom Episodes Pack (Q1.5 CCEP), a selection of 10 worthwhile fan-made episodes you can play with Quake 1.5. My criteria for including them was as follows:
-Compatible with Q1.5 and my Combat+ add-on for Q1.5.
-Is singleplayer. MP optional/I don't care.
-Of acceptable quality: Gameplay focused, good enemy placement, testing level design, good resource distribution etc.
-Episodic format in continuous fashion (ideally), rather than a hub you select one map at a time.
-License allows for redistribution
-Is Quake stylistically & thematically (e.g no realism or meme mods).
If you know any worthwhile episodic content compatible with Q1.5 not in this compilation let me know and I'll add it.
If you are a level designer and have interest in mapping specifically for Q1.5/combat+ also let me know. There is yet to be one made which is just wrong. Perhaps we can deliver.

|__A Word on installation__|
If there is only map files in the map pack's zip archive:
You can just extract to ...\quake\quake15\maps (create the folder if it doesn't exist) and run them with the command 'map mapname', ensuring to change mapname to whatever the starting map is in the respective map pack (usually numbered). Alternatively use the backspace key in-game to access all maps in your map folder easily.
If there is a pak file in the map pack zip archive:
Do as the mod's readme instructs, but when it instructs you to use the -game command, Right click 'Run Quake 1.5.bat' file and select Edit. You will see: darkplaces.exe -game quake15
Simply add the map pack's game command afterwards. Example: if you were to install contract revoked pack, your bat file should be: darkplaces.exe -game quake15 -game contract
Special note: in the case of qblack.zip, there is a config file within. I do not recommend copying that over as it will override your Quake 1.5 configuration. From what I can tell, it doesn't contain anything important.
[Map Pack Short Summaries]
Dota: the best custom episode I've found compatible with Q1.5 for its understanding of old school gameplay-oriented level design.
My rating: 4.5 / 5
CimmerianNight: fantastic but sadly short (3 maps) mini-episode. Some of the best id-like custom quake mapping you'll find.
My Rating: 4.5 / 5
FuncJam2: NOT in episodic format which loses it some score. However really quite good despite that, so gets a high rating.
My Rating: 4.25 / 5
qBlack: by the same mapper as Dota. Short but sweet.
My Rating: 4 / 5
DMC3: Surprisingly good despite its deathmatch roots. Unfortunately no music.
My Rating: 3.75 / 5
Contract Revoked: definitely worth playing, though it is only 3 levels. I preferred qblack (also three levels).
My Rating: 3.75 / 5
MapJam6: a variety of maps NOT in episodic fashion. Mixed quality, some great some not so great. Mostly good.
My Rating: 3.5 / 5
Func_MapJam1: same as above.
My Rating: 3.5 / 5
retrojam4: Same as above; like all the jams it is not in episodic format.
My Rating: 3.5 / 5
rpgsmse: originally speedmapping maps, but given touch-ups. Decent but not high quality. Do not recommend unless you must have more.
My Rating: 3 / 5
Most of these were found on Quaddicted.com. Good website, check it out.
All credits go to the original creators. Check the respective readme in each .zip file.
Stay tuned for Combat+ v5.0!

Please help me I didn't understand how to install your cards. Created the Maps folder in the Steam/steamapps/common/Quake/quake 15 directory, unpacked files from the archives, but nothing is displayed in the game. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the maps.
I can start the game, but music is not playing? What am I doing wrong?
