-fixed burning lava sound with pentagram
-fixed slowmo not resetting on game load
-chthon no longer leads his fast fireballs on hard, reserved for nightmare only
-fixed UI level name display rendering regardless of your HUD visibility
-replaced HUD ammo toggle in menu with Quake Champions shotgun toggle - turning off
the colored ammo counters is pointless as changing the HUD size does this anyway
-updated default.cfg to set proper particle defaults to prevent requiring fiddling
with console
-updated centered v_shot2.mdl, old one was incorrect
Can we get an option to disable screen shake, especially at low health? It's nauseating and is really getting on my nerves.
There's 2 convars for it:
effects_explosion_shake 0 if you don't want it during explosions, and
player_wounded_aiming 0 if you don't want the low health warp
You can add that to the autoexec.cfg, they currently don't have a menu toggle
Thanks for the hotfix. I'm enjoying this mod a lot so far but one thing I would like to change which is the current look of the hud.
Is there a way to change the hud so it does match the look of the hud in this screenshot: Media.moddb.com ? Would be great if it's in any way possible.

I figured it out myself. In the mod options (home key) there is a "UI scale" feature. Putting the slider all the way to the right does make the hud look smaller (like in the screenshot).
Also changing the grenade icon size to "tiny" so it will be part of the ammo bar makes things look better.
I loaded the mod with the latest hotfix but I still cannot see new gore effect(only default effect from Quake 1)when I shoot enemies(command in console doesn't fix the problem).
can you fix the video resolution widescreen problem? for some weird reason, I cannot change the video resolution from 1600x900 and the anisotropic filter will not move from "8". I really want to play the mod with fully decked out settings and 1920x1080 settings, so help! (on a side note, another problem is that I cant pick up the ogre chainsaw. Is there a button I have to press or a setting or something?)
Nothing I can do about the video settings menu since that's engine related but I think you should be able to use vid_width and vid_height to manually specify your resolution
this is INSANELY good. The author really has a feel for improving the existing feel of the game. A couple things: Quake mods often write themselves into the existing folders. Suggesting someone just copy over them is a lot of work. How about: Copy original ID PAK files into a subfolder called id1. Copy the Darkplaces build into the root quake15 directory. Done. Also, that build of Darkplaces on Windows 10 in widescreen mode is messed up. If you right click the darkplaces.exe and under properties, compatibility mode set it to Windows 7. Thanks so much! EDIT: Browsing your folders I see some of the same mods already - but take a look anyway. Do you know Quake Epsilon (on ModDB)? Basically a bundle of the very best quake mods - hi res textures, hi res monster skins, shadows, vastly improved lighting, hi res menus, multiple graphic quality profiles - very cool stuff running on DP. I really like what you have done so I tried an experiment and copied your mods over QE. It doesn't all work correctly, but wow it feels like Quake 2.0. All the mods are credited and many are hard to find anymore. Take a look. If I have time I will try to work out the conflicts... and finally - how about adding some monsters/fish/seaweed to water. From the beginning the Quake waters have been too barren?

exec DarkPlaces.app/Contents/MacOS/darkplaces-osx-sdl-bin -basedir /Users/axa/Prive/Quake -game quake15
I have the demo working well, but when I'm starting a new game, I have a black screen with your introduction text on it (which is visible ?!)
One some levels (e1m2), it works well, no issue...
I had applied the patch already.
If you have a solution... :)

I found the issue, as the OP said, you must use the right Darkplaces Engine.
I used the one from darkplacesengine20170829beta1

If you want to play with heavy texure garbage (white squares) its working for you. Nope, it´s not working at all. This Mod is an epic fail
the blood stains are pitch black and not red. how could i fix this?
also: love the mod. the gore effects and the weapon handling and sound are awesome
turn of stainmaps in the effects menu, they don't work right with the new decals
hi i have a problem my mouse will randomly jump to a different point every minute or so when playing. I can't seem to find a fix online

missing textures at all, bad graphics. Mod is not working at this state. please fix white squares textures error. 2017 Build of DarkPlaces engine don´t work too. Epic fail
