Wohoaaa now thats how force shield supposed to be.
Awesome work 10/10!
But i have one question:Superweapons (ex:Nuke)will explode in contact with the shield or will still explode on ground?

Well yeah, unfortunately I can't change that behaviour at all, so all the dome is good for is eye candy I guess. It won't be visible at all if visual details have been toggled to the lowest setting.

Of course, if in future I change my mind about the shield dome effect, I can make it only appear when deploying the Force Shield, fading out shortly after and leaving behind the black, shielded structures.

I suggest you go with that idea. Seems weird of the shield dome is around for a while and a nuke missile simply went through it but doesn't damage anything.

Perhaps it doesn't need to be a dome, you could chop off the top half so it's essentially a "shield wall" (it could even damage enemy units that enter it). Since the nuke drops from straight above it wouldn't be blocked.

Or simply give the nuke some kind of anti-shield energy barrier around it.

Well that could be an interesting twist to it. Might try it later. Thanks for the idea.

Also nuke (which is only available from a capturable map structure) ain't the only thing giving death from above in PP. In particular, Phantom orbital strike superweapon might make nuke look kind of puny. Nullifying Iron Curtain/Force Shield isn't possible with NPatch (which I am still using), though.

What I meant by the energy barrier is just a visual excuse for the nuke to go through the shield (even though it still won't damage protected structures). I imagine an orbital strike would pierce the energy shield anyway.

Description

In 1940's, Soviet Union scientists were performing molecular research in order for a military project to make vehicles & structures impervious to damage. They succeeded in creating a prototype of a shielding device, which they called the 'Iron Curtain'.

Decades later, the same technology is used by all factions to shield their bases from the most powerful weapons of their enemies. Even Phantom Project uses the technology, since it's easier to deploy in larger scale than their own nanite shields.

Force Shield will protect affected structures from any damage and other harmful effects for 60 in-game seconds. Deploying Force Shield brings base power down for 30 seconds. Do note that in order to deploy Force Shield in first place, base power grid must be online, meaning that if you're on a lower power or have just been sabotaged by enemy spy, you can't use Force Shield until your power is restored.

Force Shield has a recharge time of 10 in-game minutes, half of the time required to recharge faction superweapons and Hellstorm Nuclear Missile. Effect duration and recharge time may be subject to change.
