Description

Prior to the successful launch of World Legacy's World Gear Projectt and its new space-based kinetic weapon, the “World wand”, the U.S. military began developing a ground-based guidance device to accompany it.
The U.S. military had doubts about the reliability of space-based weapons due to the huge damage caused by the USS Reagan incident in the last war.For this reason, World Legacy has developed a new data chain secrecy system for the particle uplink cannon system and the “World wand” satellite. But the biggest problem with the “World wand” program is not these, but in the satellite launch and ammunition replenishment. In contrast, the ground guidance device was finished without much effort. But the only question was - what chassis would be used to carry it?
At first, DARPA's solution was to use a Humvee for the conversion, but the Humvee, loaded with the prototype, was too bulky and completely the opposite of what was originally envisioned. Subsequently, the option of reusing the chassis of an old Crusader tank was proposed, but the War Department rejected it as "too big a deal". In the end, to adapt to the security warfare environment, the DOD chose to use the Bradley chassis based on the AMPV family. The advantage of this is that Nemesis is easy to deploy and can call in orbital strikes anywhere, anytime to remove defensive positions that block major assault. But the downside was equally obvious - the armor could not withstand enemy fire like a main battle tank, so troops had to be sent to cover it. As a compensation for survivability, the Nemesis can be optionally fitted with composite armor to improve its protection and survivability.
