Poltergeist mod for Half-Life

Thorns ripped into my skin as I tumbled down the large hill. When I rolled to a stop I heard footsteps approaching me from all angles. Gunfire scattered the woods around me. I found myself running, crawling, and hiding like a marine, through bushes and trees. When I arrived at a clearing I made a run for safety. While in mid stride my shoe hit something, causing me to trip and make a large imprint in the towering grass.

I stood up and turned around to find out that what I tripped over was a soldier with an M-16 assault rifle pointed at me. In a primal effort to protect myself, I put both my hands in front of me to block the bullet. In doing this I noticed that on my left arm was a strange symbol scratched in by the thorn bushes; every line highlighted with blood. The bullet came propelling me backward into a long fall through a rusty void.

I always thought the vivid nightmares would be an end to me; My physician tells me it's because of stress at work, I take his proposal kindly and thank him and his ignorance. I know it's more than that, possibly the murderous slaying of my wife. I kept this information to myself and just told inquirers that we split and she moved to Nebraska. It was easier this way, no funeral, no legal papers to fill out, or dotted lines to sign.

The consequences for this came during the night, every night.

My administrator's office had one of those high powered cieling lights, the ones that hummed you to sleep. I was brought back to earth when my administrator, Brian finished reviewing some papers and said,

"Good afternoon Mr. Forde, take a seat. I called you here
because you are one of the best Private Investigators,
let me cut to the chase, I'd like you to investigate
the dissappearance of three local policemen, last seen
leaving the station for Black Ridge mansion. 8:15 pm,
tonight, a security team will meet you out back to
escort you to Black Ridge, and help you carry out your
investigation, good luck Donalde."
