Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.

Hmm, seems plausible...Are they gonna be single-move units like the other probes?

And what happened to the almost frigate-sized bugger from the 0.0.3 release that was able to see pretty far as well?

That was removed as I didn't like the model one bit.

As for probes, none of them are move-once because scouts have been removed for the vaygr. They can all redeploy.

So these are actually more like scouts than probes?

Well, yes.

But since all the probes work this way (platforms can be redeployed too by the way) they're being considered probes. The difference between a probe and a scout is scouts are armed, probes are not.

The term here is "re-cyclable" probes ;)

Maybe call it, "Eye of the Keeper" or "Keeper's Eye"

While I like the idea, that breaks the naming system I've been trying to keep with the keepers (namely *-er names). We have the movER the keepER the harbingER the devourER the caretakER...

Maybe this will have further use on some other ship, I'm not sure yet.

How about "Observer"?

Or just start a poll thread where everyone with at least half a brain is gonna post a more or less intelligent suggestion and all the others to vote on them.

;)

I thought of that, but I kept thinking of the starcraft observer when I see that name so I decided on revealer. In all honestly, is the name really that much of a deal?

If yes, I'll go with something else.

Description

So, here is quite possibly the last Keeper ship to go into this update, the Revealer. What is it? A probe.

The Revealer comes in a three ship squad and acts like any other probe. It however is slightly special in the way that it's internal sensors can uplink with any nearby AI ships, collectively boosting sensor strength. Simply put, deploying large numbers of probes together increases their detection range.

Not much else to say about this little thingy.

Enjoy
