There were suggestions that Paradigm could use another race. Problem is that PW reached engine limitation and cannot add any new race without removing old one. You can vote which one is worst - [here].

Here I would like to discuss what other race could be interesting? Any specific, or just totally new? Someone mentioned WEREWOLVES. I don't know if I can find any 3d dog/wolf head, but for now let us assume, that we can have any 3d model.

What about ANDROID? Or DROID?

Maybe someone has heard about some interesting, unique, but not classical race. Something less obvious? Or maybe you are in possession of good art, or even better, written description or any concept? You have seen a movie, read a book?

New race thing could be also connected to ideas of new factions.

Please let me re-copy some of ideas mentioned in PW comments:

Grimp

Juche style god emperor worshipping empire ruled by elves

A half remembered and confused attempt to recreate 21st century life. a mayorate ruled by a prime mayor and all the other lords are presidents, prime ministers, or emperors. ruled by elves or humans. could lead nicely into 10k Project Earth

A genetarchy. highly stratified society obsessed with bioengineering to become the ultimate lifeforms. could lead nicely into Mutant Territory

Star gate expedition enslaves the morloks and turns their country into a military colony. Ships resources from paradigm back to their alternate dimension. ruled by humans

Tyrannical nation of cannibal gourmets that eat dissidents

Lava worshipping high paleo-tech, neolithic, neo-cavemen, populated by half giants. half giants are rare but maybe there was a mass mutation among the morloks and they altered their society because of their new brains.

Gladiator based society where the strongest champion rules, ruled by half giants

Dwarven revolutionaries create a clan based society of rune-techs based on the accumulation of ensorcelled gems and treasure. Inspiration: Bit.ly

In 7022 we have big Undead-Vampiric empire so we need something to counter them. My types: Werewolves (like from Underworld movies series), Inquisitors (from Warhammer 40k), Brotherhood of Steel (fallout games).

Droids/Robots would be a good idea, but we already got Cybertech Cyborgs which can fill the role.

Werewolf is a great concept, it could fit in the game lore's a mutation towards wolfs and dogs.
Problem is werewolfs would probally get a strenght bonus, and we already got a lot of races which got this stat.

Its a bad move to add Gnomes/Hobbits/Halflings since we already got dwarfes and elfs in the game.
We should't get any more human-like races, we should explore new concepts.

We need something more unique, something not yet explored...
I suggest INSECTOIDS.

Insects would fit in the game's lore perfectly, since they're resilient towards radiation, thus being able to survive in post-nuclear world.
They would also thrive and prosper by developing unique mutations and traits.

Also they could get a Agility+Charisma bonus (unlike the most races in the game which got the same stats), so it would bring a new flavor to the game.

Agility: Insects got slim and thin bodies. Also some of them got wings.
Charisma: Most Insects develops extremely complex social structures, such as ''hive-minds'' seen in ants, wasps and bees.

And Insectoids are interesting, unique, non-classical race and totally less obvious - exactly as you suggested.

(There are 3D insect models in the modding community. Bear Force has Geonosian models so you could ask the devs to develop an unique insectoid model for you.)

INSECTOIDS - yes, it is great idea, however... I have a feeling, that like Cyborgs fill slot for droids, the same way Biotec fill slot for insectoids. That was also their 'job', here is their desc:

BIOTEC CYBORG - imagine a triangle. In one corner put a cockroach, in second - artificial intelligence - and\
in the third any humanoid. Look in the middle and you understand who or what is a Biotec. After apocalypse AI calculated best chance to survive in the new \
upcoming world order and Biotec is a result of that calculation. Cold logic, high survivability and efficiency. It is still a new being and lack of evolutionary experience \
may be a drawback. It's repelling appearance and dangerous posture doesn't help with making alliances with other races or factions. Most of biotecs act in swarms gathered in hives,\
however there are reported units acting as independent individuals.

Personally I don't like idea of halflings as well. I mentioned them in the name of open discussion. But for example personally I would rather like to see gnomes more, than dwarves or elves. I understand that PW makes not it's best job depicting those two races, maybe that's the problem. Re-design races to be more PW, and more fit to game itself.

However currently candidate for replacement is Human Female.

Please, do also have in mind that we need 'humanoid' to the point where armors should more or less fit all races. So gelatine blob race is not gonna be taken into account :)

There are so many races already. Does it really need more? I'd hate to get rid of the ladies just for another strange creature.
