Can't remember these animations were in Painkiller, or am I wrong? I mean, how the hand places the wooden stick into the weapon. Looks really nice!

True, these animations were not in Painkiller. I took the crossbow reload animation from Killing Floor 2 and slightly changed the finger and hand movements to fit the Stakegun. Speaking of which, the animation will be sped up 2x in the game. I wanted the gif to be smooth and beautiful
Ok, well, you really have reworked this animation then very nicely. Because it really looks like it was made specially for this weapon and not a crossbow at all.
