Out Of Earth
City 15, a city which holds host to the Combine Portal Transportation System. Combine fleets outside of Earth transport to City 15 to gain access into Earth. From there, the Combine can transport to various other locations of City 15. The portal nexus is the center of the city, which holds all the key information to various locations of the City and location to the Combine out world.
Proximus Gavant, head of City 15, Portal Transportation Systems (PTS) and one of the most powerful leaders for the combine, holds strong protection over City 15 and anything outside. Information within City 15 is kept strict and anything outside of City 15 is not allowed anywhere. Citizens of City 15 at this time, have no understanding of the recent Rebellion up-rise in City 17 and are forced to work to keep City 15 working and functioning 24/7.
Until one day all was about to change. A man named Samuel Greystock, who escaped the Seven hour war during City 15's invasion, taking residence in the Barren Wastelands. Sam lost his parents from a Combine Wasteland patrol, and learned from the documents left by their patrol of the City 17 rebel outbreak. Sam saw the distraught of City 15, and it was time to start a rebellion of his own, for the revenge of his people in City 15, and for the revenge of his lost parents.
- A new character, new animations and perspective, feeling like you are playing a completely different character.
- Cinematic scenes provided with emotional and powerful music that display the loss of hope and power the Combine over hold in City 15.
- Continuous action to keep you gripping on the edge of your seat.
- Ranking systems for the Combine soldiers, each rank being an important role and affecting the rest of the squads.

Out Of Earth Update 2011
A look into the new update of Out Of Earth as progress picks up once again!
A new update for the mod! I must say the progress is going really well. I have been focusing a lot on not just detail, but also rather then making the players look at certain sections, but to get a sense of all feelings and reactions.
The screenshots may not look a lot, but every section is being modified, having new sections added and more and more adjustments to colour, textures and sounds.
Instead of making you see all the props, I wanted to get the players into feeling like they are actually there, by using cold colours, blue lighting, specular surfaces to give a alien/metallic approach to scenes, and most importantly the sound.
This video below will give you an insight as to what I was aiming for, and I hope you enjoy it! Sorry for lack of action gameplay, that will be in the next update ;)
The mod has a lot planned to come and these are just a few features of what the mod has got to come:
- Hand & Arms texture of the main character "Samuel Greystock"
- Changed weapon sound effects (for what we hope will give a more heavier, action packed experience)
- Some changes to weapon animations (This is so that Sam has his own unique character of holding weapons different to what Gordon usually does).

Now a minor grammar correction:
Its barren wastelands, not Baron. A Baron is like a mini-king. He runs a small village and a section of land, keeping the law and things generally in order, for the King. Barren is devoid of life, structure.
