Nova Aetas is set in the world of Calradia, but in a later period. The Old Medieval World is vanishing. A new era is coming and you, the player, will experience this. Nova Aetas is Latin for A New Era. The main targets are realism & extended gameplay.

Can you add more pictures/videos of how that system's going to work? Looks very interesting.

If it weren't for the engine, I would say you've created your own game from scratch by now.

Constructing buildings in towns will be very similar to Medieval II. In fact I try to copy it. Simply because it is the best game I've ever played. I even believe that this menu is far more advanced than Medieval II. There are 6 town levels ranging from a small town to a huge city. These types have its own unique buildings as you you in the first slot above. These require a certain population level and give access to higher tier buildings. Very important if you want to build advanced barracks. Every building is part of a 5-tier building tree.

Some buildings give income boost, other religious conversion boost. Some allow recruitment of either infantry, cavalry or ranged troops. Taverns and farms add to growth rate. Castles allow more buildings/troops to be recruited simultaneously. Recruiting troops works in the same way as Medieval II by the way. There are clickable cards. I have also added a details tab. So you can exactly see how the growth is calculated and which effects of the power of balance are applied and which are not. For example if the nobility holds 40% or more power, you can issue edicts.

Medieval 2 is definitely one of the best games I have ever played. I'm thrilled with the work you're doing - your approach is something I wanted for a long time.

Have you ever played Sword of Damocles for the original Mount&Blade;? Sucks about the crappy graphics / animations but the mod itself transform the Kingdom management into something amazing. Best thing since your mod.

It includes Edicts (in cards form) that alter influence and support from Merchants, Religious Figures, Nobles and Serfs, it has a strategic map to order your men when you're a King and even a treasure hunting map to invest some explorers into. The mod also has A.I. self kingdom management similar to yours.

If you haven't - I strongly urge you to give it a try.

Seems like a cool mod.
And indeed, Medieval II deserves to be titled as the best game ever. Its gameplay is legendary. That's why I want to simply 'copy' it and combine it with M&B, together with The Guild II.

Awesome work ! It is and will be the best mod on M&B Warband !

Also will you change the technological advancement system ? Adapt it in a way ? Even the time passing, because i've always fought it was odd to be in 1480 in a few minutes and not being able to have your character aging... Please answer if you have time, it's really something i've been looking after ! :)

I'm fine with the current system. A year will pass every day till 1650. Then it will be one year per week. The game will revert to normal calender from 1695.
This is needed because Nova Aetas adds 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th century equipment
