NL4 Serana mod for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Introduction:

Found some vampire girl in a crypt that follows me around, scoured the internet looking for an alternate look for her but found none. Although it is clear to me she is a very minor character that most players will probably never even meet in their game I decided there should be atleast one mod that changes her face

Originally made as an optional customizer for my mod NL4 U NPC 2 that includes her. May still be used for that if loaded after but does not require it

Backstory:

All followers in this game need one for some reason so here goes

Jett was doing what he does best. Not working. Not working involves going into non descript dungeons and looking for stuff to take and hawk back at town. In the last one he went in he found some vampires and a dog guarding something. Nothing special about that except when he went up to what he thought was some good loot all he found was a pedestal which he of course touched since he touches anything he sees. After having a spike run through his hand something came up. Aha! ma loot! Surely something valuable must be inside, maybe having his hand almost severed by a rusted iron spike was worth it! Nope, upon opening much to his disappointment all that was inside was an undead. Same kind he had been killing all day. This particular undead was very talkative which was unusual and as he put it, an unwelcome distraction from the reason he was here to begin with. Too tired and annoyed to fight or converse with it he decided to ignore it in the hopes it would go away so he could continue his search for goods in peace. Finally after reaching the end he got what he came for, a nice rusted set of iron gauntlets and a gold ring. Not too shabby he thought, thinking that would atleast get him a mug of ale and some only partially molded bread back at the inn. Setting off he noticed it had followed him outside the dungeon, still going on about needing to go home and he had to take it there. He found this especially odd since he had assumed its home was what they had just left, well sans its now actually dead undead family and pooch

About halfway back to town he stopped to look at it, it was then he realized it was or atleast had been at some point a she. Remembering a little trick I had shown him using his HUD he realized he could find out what she was called without actually speaking to her as this would no doubt result in more of the "I need to go home rubbish" of which he was sick to death of hearing. Serana, that face though. Looking over his book of excuses not to work aka his quest journal he discovered some marker about changing his face. He then looked in the mirror, noticed why he had ignored this quest as his face, atleast for him was already perfect and the thought of it changing horrified him. But this Serana, perhaps her face could be changed. Excited by this prospect he made his way to Riften to see this so called "face sculptor" to see if there was anything they could do to make it better. This was especially tantalizing as he had no idea how long she intended to be his unwanted shadow and he thought any change would make less jarring when he had to look at her

Once he got there he was told that her face could be changed but for a price. Not willing to pay the price he asked what could be done in exchange for the rusted iron gauntlets, of course making no mention of the gold ring that he was sure would get him atleast the mug of ale he was craving. With a smirk and mumbling something they agreed to make adjustments equal to the payment. He of course said yes and decided to leave for the Bee & Barb and come back later when it was done. As expected the ring got him a nice mug of ale and for a brief moment remembered how nice it was to be alone without someone always there beside him. This was not to last however as only halfway through his ale he felt the familiar presence of his new unwanted companion. He turned slowly to see what was done to her face and if he could stomach having her around much longer. Once he saw it he smiled a bit and remembered what I had told him long ago when he balked at paying more gold for better healing potions then almost died to a wandering troll on the road back. Those words came back and made his smile a little bigger, "You get what you pay for"

He finished his ale and before leaving Serana handed him something unlike anything he had seen before. She made some reference to "a better deal" she had gotten with the face sculptor and how there was "now more then one". The usual gibberish he thought as he stuffed it in his pocket wondering how much he could sell it for on his way out. Do you atleast know what its called he asked her? Her response was one word just as nonsensical and annoying as everything else that had happened to him that day. Fomod

Always the opportunist Jett had already joined the Dawnguard but only recently decided to actually try and help them hoping to be rid of his shadow once and for all. I suspect, although he wont admit it himself, that with her new face is starting to take a liking to her. Time will tell

I asked Jett if there was any useful information for his new companion and he had this to say

Race: PlayfulNord "I detected a slight hint of sarcasm when he said it"

Age: Old enough

Weight: Was very offended when I asked her and stormed off muttering something about the Sweet Roll I was eating and my own weight, so I would just split the difference and say 50 should be fine

Combat: Either extremely OP one shotting everything or completely useless baggage. Depends on her mood

Style: She likes to use the 2 most worthless skills a follower can have. Dagger with ice, yes ice in Skyrim to damage creatures that live here

Attitude: Bad, whoever raised her did a terrible job. She has yet to help carry any of my burdens. Really missing L right about now

Options: He said he found out what the Fomod does and uses it to change her eyes and hair

Q: Her face is broken, changing load order did not help

A: Although it is extremely unlikely that any other mod would ever conflict with this since she is such a minor character in the game you could try the following
Go into your data folder and in both meshes and textures delete any files found with this name

Q: I met her in my game when she was skinny. How to give her a few more pounds?

A: Open console and click on her. Then enter the following 3 commands in order closing console when done

setnpcweight 50
disable
enable

Q: What is A1?

A: a tasty sauce

Q: What are the requirements to use this?

A: Dawnguard DLC & Moon Sugar, lots and lots of it. Good thing its a cheap and plentiful commodity in Skyrim. Dont know what she does with it tbh, something about one of her moms special recipes but it seems like she can never have enough. All I can say is its a damn good thing there is usually a caravan nearby wherever we are as I do not ever want to see her without it

Q: Does she bounce?

A: Given enough moon sugar she will do almost anything you want

Q: I dont like what she wears in my game, did you change it for me?

A: No, just be grateful shes wearing anything. Sometimes I find her strolling around in her undies. Could not be bothered to dress herself

Q: What new armor and replacers are shown?

A: Remodeled Armor - Female Outfit Replacer - Scarlet Dawn - Scarlet Rose

Q: What body and textures does she use?

A: Yours, so a woman's I hope..unless you changed it o_O

Q: She does not look the same in my game

A: For similar look in your own game use Fair Skin Complexion but any quality skin for females may be used such as Bijin Skin she will just look a little different

Q: Where is the immersive human option for when I cure her?

A: There is none. If you want to change the only vampire follower in the game to be like all the other human ones use a different mod for her

Q: She is not...Her face is...I want...

A: Where is...who sent you here?

You may not upload this to other sites, if I want it there ill put it there myself

You may host a patched esp to get her compatible with mods that alter her non-appearance stats such as AI/Combat/lvls/outfits/class etc
