No one can recall quite how it happened, but at some point there was another world war and after the bombs fell, the Earth was left in ruins. The former Yugoslavian republic of Serbia suffered massive devastation to it's land, but the great capital of Belgrade although damaged severely, had survived the conflict...

Slowly taking shape - I love the way you're making this all brush-based.

This interior looks good and expensive. The doors seems pretty modern though. Then it looks like the texture on the doors is bad because you can see that there are handles that are under the normal handles.

It's like that in real life:

As for the handles, there's no handle on the door texture so not sure what you mean there, but those will probably be modelled eventually anyway...

Okay I understand. I have noticed that in the pictures the lightning is more yellow.

Yes but there wont be any lighting in mine since it's a post-nuclear wreck ;) This is just placeholder illumination so you can see the details!

Looks pretty good.
Maybe you should consider replace those columns with 3d models, you know, to reduce the solids count and increase the fps, because, unless your map is small or you are using some kind of mapping trick, when it has all the decorations and maybe enemies, it will lag like hell -i think-.

Nevertheless, looks awesome, reminds me that cod 1 map "chateau"...oh, good days.

Description

Yikes.. it's been over a year since the last media was posted D: I apologise for lack of updates, take note that officially I am the only one making this right now and I am working part time so I don't have as much free time to work on things as I'd like. I will be asking officially for some help but I want to finish some concepts first so those helping out will have more of an idea of what I'm looking towards (feel free to offer help in the meantime though, I can use PM :P). So to clarify, definately not dead.. just in and out of a long sleep!

In the meantime, I posted this on my profile back in July, it's the latest in-game work for you depicting the interior of the National Assembly of Serbia in Belgrade (Serbia's house of parliament basically). This is one of my favourite real life buildings and it's been a joy to work on and also a lot of hard work because of all the classical decor) but it's paying off so far. What we have here is the clean version of the building, because obviously the setting is the aftermath of a nuclear war so expect to see damage added to the texures and geometry when I am done with the intact version :)

It's not just the inside you'll see, a large part of it is the exterior as well, of which you can see some images on my profile here;

Moddb.com

There's also a rough editor shot of the entrance vestibule and main hall which I am still working on along with the outside.

Note, some bits and pieces are placeholders for models (ie pillar heads and the horse statues outside), this is one aspect that I definitely need some help with in the future as I don't model!

Textures created from photos of the real thing as well as my own work from scratch (like the floor which has a certain pattern that matches up in pieces, hence the temporary cartoon look to it..)

Hopefully, I can post some new media by Christmas, fingers crossed!
