Greetings! Today I want to talk a little bit about what's to come in 2016, but also what you would like to see. As you might have noticed there was a release the other week, and I must say I'm overwhelmed by the positive response so far, both here, in PMs and on my nexus site. With that said I want to thank you all for your support, and I hope you'll stick around for another exciting year.

Speaking of that I would like to make it clear that I intend to continue updating this mod, and I do have some pretty exciting stuff coming up. Down below I will list some of the ideas I have, and hopefully I'll be able to implement them in 2016.

Red Mountain Overhaul Q1-Q2
We all know that the Red Mountain isn't a very terrifying sight to behold. I would like to overhaul the Red Mountain Region and turn it into a proper strato volcano. Some of you may have seen the picture I posted Aug 12th, 2015:

The top of Red Mountain? Who knows.

Ghost Gate Revamp Q2

While I'm quite happy how the Ghostgate overhaul turned out, I have a feeling that it doesn't really fit in very well with the Tower of Dusk and Tower of Dawn. As of now I don't have something specific to show you guys, but I intend to turn the Ghostgate into a proper fortress, instead of a 2 huge blocks with a bridge connecting them.

Molag Amur Overhaul Q3-Q4

The Molag Amur is a pretty boring place to be in, and with the new rock meshes included in MR, there's a lot of meshes that are either floating above ground, or bleeding into other objects. In this overhaul I plan to fix these issues, while also adding new exciting stuff to discover.

But there's more..
As always each version will include a lot of other things such as balance changes, bugfixes, new weapons and armor and much much more. I still have a truckload of resources that I haven't touched yet, and I do have other suprises as well that are beeing worked on as we speak ;)

Mod of the Year Awards 2015

You may also have noticed that there's an event here at moddb, where you can vote for the best mods in 2015. If you like this mod, please feel free to give it a vote. I would appreciate it!

That pretty much sums it up guys. I hope you have enjoyed this news-post. Until next time!

I'm really excited over Red Mountain Overhaul! I have always wanted wanted to see Red Mountain explode with Lava... but couldn't do it right with the lava and red water meshes! So placing a huge rock on top of the volcano... will give it the Huge Mountain that it deserves to be! And replacing the Ghost Gate with an actual Hlauul Fortress with Walls... is very interesting! Makes Dusk and Dawn an actual stone block fortress wall surrounding the Red Mountain.

I would also like to see more compatibility with popular mods like Necessities of Morrowind, Morrowind Comes Alive v8.1, Abot Animations Silt Striders, Boats, Gondolas, Gwars, Where Are the Birds Going, Wilderness Creatures! New Armors and Weapons! MSGO v3.0 (I consider these Mods a staple in any Morrowind Collection!)

I would like to see the Cities Expansion continued, and eventually moved on from the main locations of Ebonheart, Seyda Neen, Suran, Pelagiad, Balmora, and Caldera! (Too much attention has been given here... and you should move on into the West Gash Region and Grazelands! And finally into Bloodmoon: Solstheim... while many play Snow Prince, and other Bloodmoon Mods, I think it deserves a proper overhaul with nordic buildings like you did with Balmora, Suran, and Ebonheart!) I personally like ShotN Release 01: The Vorndgad Forest!

Many new buildings are available like Barabus – Housing, roads and tools made for the City mod. Which was used in zzcityalpha - The City of Jarvik! And in an alternate Caldera Expansion! Qarl – Rich Furniture! Banking Mod! Houses for Sale! Fishing Academy or Set n Sail, Pegasus Horses or Wishes were Horses! New Ship and Galleon Models! Japanese Houses, Armor, and Weapons! Even New Races...

I know a lot of these ideas you have rejected in the past, but more compatibility should be made toward popular mods, that everyone uses!

Thanks
Eric

I'm excited to get working on it as well. I hope it will turn out as awesome as I've imagined it, and the Ghost Gate will be a nice complement to the Red Mountain Overhaul.

I might try to make some compatibility patches, but it's more likely that I f*ck things up than not lol. Anyway, it's a good suggestion, and I'll try to keep it in mind.

Regarding city expansions and what regions to focus on. Yes I'm aware that I've given some areas more attention than they might deserve, but like I stated in the post I plan to move on to the Molag Amur region next, and obviously the Red Mountain Region. Later on I'll tackle the Grazelands.

Thanks for your feedback Eric.
Cheers

My favorite aspect of the series has been the Dwemer ruins. I have wondered though why an empire would continue to build new fortresses rather than clearing old Dwemer structures and using them as garrisons. The quality of stone work and wonder of technology would be enough to warrant such a hybrid fortress in the eyes of an emperor. In playing Skyrim I was pleased to see Markarth go through such a transition. It fell short in that the rubble was not cleared, lower sections were unsafe, and a general sense of disrepair permeated the whole area. It would have been nice to see "patching", a strong scientific community, and a more complete aura.

This idea could be applied to one of the larger Dwemer ruins inside the Ghost Fence. It could be established as the empire's front line base that, while losing population over the years, still has a garrison and supporting economy NPC's. There could be a large number of researchers who have learned to manipulate Dwemer automatons, refurbished interior spaces, and connecting tunnels or teleporters to other areas inside the fence.

Just a thought. As always, your work continues to be of incredible quality. I look forward to following this next year.

Will you be making improvements to the sneak mechanics through this mod?

It's awesome that mode like this exists!

I never really played Morrowind (only few hours) as I've first encountered Elder Scrolls with Skyrim but I fell in love with series and my goal is to play it "properly" - to see everything and read everything. I've already finished Oblivion and I want to do the same with Morrowind. But it's an old game and without mods would be probably unplayable for me - so thank you for your work and looking forward to see more improvements!
