A free unofficial expansion pack for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, which retells, expands and continues the story of the original game. Enhanced with Ares DLL, Mental Omega strives to bring many new features to the game, including a 133-mission campaign, cooperative and a brand new faction: the Foehn Revolt.
At least the Speeder Trike gets his wishes.
Is this new unit available in all Epsilon factions or exclusive to one sub faction?
SOON tm
Beheld my secret weapon!
What's this...
One thing that always made the strategy of mind controlling things and then throwing them into the grinder unappealing, besides the cost of that thing, was how distant it was from the mind controlling units themselves, so I imagine this will see a *lot* more use than the regular grinder.
Recycling will save the world!
i wonder just how mental the driver of this unit would sound like
Me too! - I am sure he would sound similar to the dustdevil, also, that unit is recommended to belong to the psicorps, since they own mind control equipments, they can use grinders to earn money with it.
well rest of Epsilon does have Adepts to use this too so why not all of Epsilon ?
"Itadakimasu."
I feel like this would be Scorpion Cell unit, since Rashidi can reverse engineer MCV technology in my opinion.

At this point it really feels like, what others have been saying for a while now, that the mod is actually hoarding all assets for the sake of having them instead of serving an actual purpose, preventing others from having them, who might have better use of such. I let you decide whether it is good or not, but as I see it's another really niche unit, which will not particularly see much gameplay (due to reasons I presume are obvious). But hey, at least the number of those niche units can be increased.
Yes, because us using public assets physically prevents others from using them as well.
Brilliant logic.

Not responding to the rest of it? I take the silence as an agreement.
No, he's not responding because he has already covered this in the image description.

Yeah, brilliant. Mental Omega is most popular mod. Most YR mod fans play it first. Then they try another mod, which uses some units from public assets, but used by MO, too. "That was used, nah, this mod is bad". And they return to MO, thinking that MO is the only mod for YR worth playing.
Analogic situations like on Steam **** "productions" on Unity/Unreal Engine 4 which use the same, most popular, simple-to-implement assets.
Add some own, exclusive content. Your skills don't block you.
IPleya, you are right in my view.
It's hardly the Mentalmeisters' fault if users are too dumb to give any other mods a fair go.
As for exclusive content, if you've got some original, HQ voxels/SHPs you'd like to share, I'm sure Speeder would be interested to hear from you.

Let me rephrase it.
There is a certain attitude problem among C&C players, especially with those, whose experience around mods exhaust at MO. I saw a lot of times players accusing other mods that "it was ripped from MO", little do they bother to check that the asset was actually public. It would be a gesture, if the team would actually stand up against this phenomenon, but instead they give the horse under them when Speeder pick up some random asset for the purpose of having it. It's free of course, but really... just have a look at MO. It's huge in the bad sense. It has way too much content, most of it is unpolished and don't have too much purpose other than being there. One can be proud of having 12 factions with quadrillion of units, from which a handful is actually viable, the rest of them is either niche, good only in PvE or good for one or two specific situations. Let's just not talk about the map fetish... 500+ maps. Many of them got into the roster without proper playtests. Like he added this sh!t into the mod, for what? Anyone who played YR and MO know that Mastermind + Grinder was mostly used in PvE for defense, it isn't a great strategy in PvP unless your opponents want to swarm you.
And again: while it is indeed public, some modders will actually refrain from using it. Speeder knows this well. He admitted this himself a few times. At MO's rate other sane mods would actually be near the end of the project, but MO be like "hey, let's break the game further", and yes, MO should be in its closing phase already, but the mod just keeps gobbling up assets to postpone the inevitable. One can delude himself to be the "savior of the C&C modding community", but let's get the fact straight: not many mods can survive under MO's shadow. They can start their mod, only to find out that they don't have have too much chance of competition (the game is rigged from the beginning?) and that they are being scavenged by it. Yes, that's how Foehn was born, on the rhetorical corpse of another mod. Speeder said it himself that people should surrender their assets to him instead of starting their own mods. There you have it, a more detailed description.
So you go on a long diatribe essentially using nothing but rhetoric and implication, without substance.
Okay then.
Calm down kids this is not pre-school.
tl;dr mo bad
So MO is too big to be morally allowed to add more assets? Okay then. I agree that when it comes to map pool, it's overwhelmingly huge; but there's no issue with some units not being used 24/7 in PvP. Not every unit has to be useful in every situation to be considered relevant.
I use the Mobile Grinder in a situation when i can't go up for an MCV to place a grinder for a Mind-Control-to-Grinding tactic.
Honestly, the Mobile Grinder is useful for Mind-Control-to-Grinding method, meaning it's very useful for PsiCorpse + at least 1 Mastermind in battlefield.
Since we got the Foehn Orcinus and this Mobile Grinder for the Epsilon then what is next? Maybe the Allied Prism Hoplite (not the old Hoplite) and the Soviet Stingray Tesla Boat. I am just guessing and expecting, but these these aren't confirmed or will be in the game.
Curious but will Grinder's grid misplaced fixed?
This thing will make mind control so much more fun to use. Now I can scrap everything for money.
