Medieval Kingdoms: Total War is a total conversion of Total War: Attila with brings the game to the high middle ages, set in the starting year of 1212 AD going until 1453 AD. This mod will completely revamp the game with new factions, units and much much more! (Yes this is the same mod team as for the Rome 2 version.)

No, when the Abbasids rose to power they slaughtered nearly the entire Umayyad dynasty and formed their own Caliphate.

The Umayyads survived in The Andalus and later they interacted with the moors and came to power together, so, all of the Umayyad families was killed but Andalusi Caliph Abdelrahman Ad-Dakhel was one of the survivors and you can play with him in AoC DlC of Attila, the Abbasid may have killed most of the Umayyads but it wasn't really of them and the Islamic world was ruled with two Caliphs, the Abbasid Caliph in the east and the Umayyad Caliph in the Iberian Peninsula! Abdelrahman even defeated Charlemagne the Great during his war to invade The Andalus!
