Mech Commander Omnitech version 240
I have been working on MCO for nearly two years. It is coming slow and hard.
Many things have changed from the MC2:
component inventory, armor damage transfer between mission and logistics, in mission component salvage, much better detail textures, many new and redesigned mechs, many new and redesigned buildings, fixed and extended ABL scripting language.
Next goals are:
- redesign of all art assets from the original MC2
- weapon damage transfer between mission and logistics and new mechlab (mw4 style with the possibility to change weapon slot type for a price).
What is new:
- Redesigned mission GUI - MC1 style,
- Damage transfer from mission to logistics,
- Repair buttons added to mechbay and mechlab.
- Every weapon has its own weapon range - new ranges calculation, simple math instead of predefined tables in mc2,
- ECM works as ECM umbrella now, all friendly mechs under ECM range are invisible for sensors, can be purchased and added to the mech in mechlab.
- New simple math calculations for LOS, increased LOS for high ground,
- New Beagle probe, increase sensor range and can detect shutdown mechs, can be purchased and added to the mech.
- max unit textures are now up to 512x512,
- max game detail textures... can go up to 1024x1024,
- new detail textures fixed that ugly looking terrain,
- new building textures, redesign of existing textures.
- redesigned old overlays and over 100 new overlays, cement, grass, terrain...
- additional ammo bins for all weapons,
- player can hire local mercs in mission if allowed by mission designer. Full control of those merc mech and vehicles for the duration of the mission,
- New Paved Road texture,
- High res damage icons are used for logistics and will show damage in logistics.
- Orange is added to damage colors.
- New MCO purchase file editor by Karl,
- New Arrow IV turret - model by Starman, texture by Karl.
- Quick load/save fix.
- New feature Resource points for the mission are now visible in mechbay, player can icrease or decrease the number just like the drop weight.
- Left click and drag disabled in mechbay and mechlab.
- Component salvage like in MC1
- new button design for mission gui.
- new button for repair truck - recharge your repair truck with one click (cost RPs).
ABL Commands:
NEW
- teleporttopoint(PartID, position),
- setbrain(PartID, brainFileName),
- togglesensorstrike;
- toggleartillerypiece;
- toggleairstrike;
Fixed/activated:
- setobjectivetype(objectiveID, type)
- checkobjectivetype(objectiveID)
Mechs:
Redesigned
- Summoner - magic.
- Timberwolf - Karl.
- Mad Dog - Karl.
EDITOR
NEW:
- Objective Action for Mission Editor - Add Component salvage (add a components FIT file containing number of salvage components and component list)
Bugfixes:
- Error when loading mission with destroyed building as first after start.
- Bugfix for MakenewtechnologyAvailable, Playwav and PlayBik
- Bugfix incorrect entry for additional purchase files.
how to install this mod
It is standalone. Just dbl click and follow instructions.
I've gotten this installed, it loads up just fine, get through the initial mission setup and it closes out with an error.
STOP : [Assert 20]wrong number of control buttons.
I don't know if you still check up on this but if you have any ideas on it I would appreciate it?
I thought it might be because I was using a laptop so I remapped all the keys, then went with a plug in keyboard and still get it. Hope to hear from ya...
I'm having the same problem. Would be great to know if anyone has some info on this.
Hey guys with this problem! The issue is known, and there is a workaround. Check this forum post for a way to fix it:

It takes a bit of work, but should help. Ask on that forum if you need more assistance.
Got a question, can i change the resolution to 1920x1200? there is no such option in the menu... and cant find in the ini files...
Just set your desktop resolution to 1920x1200 and the game will run in 1920x1200. I dont know for sure because I dont have monitor that can support that one - I could not test.
