Does this mod work with the BFME HD Edition?
Should work.
Hi - I've been using this mod, and I've gotten to the Minas Tirith mission, and the game just crashes after about 10 minutes - probably because of the number of units on screen. Works fine on any other mission, and no other mods are installed.
My PC is more than powerful enough to handle this, just wondering if there's a fix or someway to get round this and finish the mission.
Thanks
Why isn't there a copy with the same number of troops as the original game?
Unit number for battalion is still same; what do you mean by "copy with same number of troops"?
no 400&800; 200&400;

Can you update here with more screenshots? It is pretty boring to see just that 5. Maybe some units, some campaign screenshots etc. :D
(i posted this elsewhere but it seems people are reporting it here..)
>>how do you install i am getting game crash when I start game after unpacking in game folder<<
If you get start up errors READ CAREFULLY INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
OK here is how this works to get rid of any INI errors on game startup
It CANNOT be installed like other mods I have installed
You CANNOT place MME_Beta2.0.big into the game install directory! Else various INI errors will show up, forcing you to close out the game!
Here is what worked for me
Place the mod "MME_Beta2.0.big" into your 'My Battle for Middle-earth Files' folder located in (C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth Files)
Run the game using the provided shortcut, it may have to be edited to reflect the install location ie
"X:\my install directory\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm)\lotrbfme_.exe" -noshellmap -mod MME_Beta2.0.big
Game now runs
Open skirmish for any side
Yes, a few more heroes to recruit!
What "-noshellmap" does?
How can I change the camera zoom in campaign? It is too close to the ground...
In fact, you can put the mod where you want. And the use the -mod with the full path and using "" if there are spaces:
"X:\my install directory\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm)\lotrbfme_.exe" -noshellmap -mod "X:\another random dir\modName.big"
I'm going to try out that shortcut you posted and see if it can indeed be moved into the game directory....
EDIT-----------------------------------------------
YES, indeed it can, apparently needed that extra directory("X:\another random dir\modName.big") for some reason:
"X:\my install directory\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm)\lotrbfme_.exe" -noshellmap -mod "X:\my install directory\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm)\MME_Beta2.0.big"
Only that way it can be run from the install folder, without it the ini errors occur. Thanks for the information!
EDIT
Seems to work on any patch I tried it on, 1.03, 1.06 and 1.08.
The most noticeable change about patch 1.08 is larger horde sizes 10 to 15 figures instead of 5 to 10 which MMEmod changed back to original 5 to 10 because horde.ini files are modified. Seems to work fine regardless.
