Lost Dragons is a multiplayer total modification aiming to bring out a new thrilling gamemode for Arma3 . Our concept is futuristic objective based team warfare with randomly generated map elements to ensure every game is a unique experience with completely new set of units, weapons, structures and terrain.
Got the Dropships interior started and there is actually quite a lot of space in the bucket. (It is somewhat bigger than the last one).
The entrance ramp is similar to what I had made on the previous but with the extra space I now got an entry chamber/airlock space in between the entrance and the interior.
The massive cargo hold takes most of the space, but there is still lots of crew space in the 4 floors at the ships front
The bridge is also quite spacious and will have nice full awareness view to the ships front. I do suspect that the ship will be a bit hard to fly though with the unconventional (and perhaps a bit Arma unfriendly) cockpit, but we hope to ease it with an informative flight HUD.
Interesting model, so nice to have a walk around video. I can imagine epic roles for this cargo vessel during ingame. If you aren't tired of the never-ending questions, apart from the dropship, do you plan to make smaller, so called 'air assault' ships as well? This huge dropship looks like a juicy target on the sky.
In our gamemode Dropships will work as permanent indestructible spawn points (purely a gameplay mechanism) and they may occasionally bring some more vehicles to the team.
Questions are always welcome and to answer your question simply: Yes and to elaborate, we have planned multitude of flying vessels from single seat personal transporters to the battleships. In between those there will also be troop transports that are fit as air assault carriers.
There is an old WIP shot of one here:
Moddb.com
It is the same side and series as the Gunship that is already in game and there will be more like it.
I hope everything will be fine working but, what tool to preview is used in here?
I do have some concerns about the amount of moving parts I've made but other than that there shouldn't be problems.
The video is made from Blenders 3D view as its freemove camera has also this "walkabout" mode.
