currently testing the dx10 render on lost alpha. it's far from complete, some levels don't even start with it yet, but those which do, look very nice.
here you can see water puddles, and flowing on the surface, will try to record videos later, when it becomes more stable.

The puddles are there, but they're darker than the ground. If you zoom in on the image, the cloud-like shadows you see on the ground are the puddles. I don't think they're using a high gloss factor so you can't really see it.
Seems easier to see it on the hood and sides of the car in HD. Pretty nifty, always like it in CoP
a video would be better, but currently fraps records nothing but a black screen on r3 render
Have you tried DXtory for recording?
just checked it, have to say really impressive stuff, it works fine with r3. although it creates 3x bigger files than fraps on 1080p, it looks much better, probably even compressed.
The thing is, dxtory allows you to select whatever DxShow codec you want :) or in other words - the one you're able to encode in realtime.

Should my eyes not be deceiving my perception of reality, and if by chance are those truly incarnated miraculous raindrops actually implemented into the addon Lost Alpha - a total conversion for the most atmospheric game of 2007 STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl - i can safely assume work is inclined towards the right direction and definitely not in vain. Now days many developers alike tend to be focused on a release date of sorts, but dezodorant group basically suggests them **** YOU and **** YOU. Who needs a release date when you have deez nice fohrests and shiny raindrops? Everything a real stalker can dream of. DESU DESU.

Hey, you should also stop wanting a good life because in the end you will die. They have a dream and they are busting their ***** to achieve this dream. And it doesn't matter if some of us won't play in DX10. It's their dream. ;)
why not dx11, cuz its more popular!
why are you guys making a dx10 render anew? Don't you have access to the later games engines?
And you think porting a render is just copy-paste & done? :D We've been working on this since last year, and show screens of the progress from time to time.
No i don't think such thing, and why port a render why not port the assets themselves, be that models, levels, scripts, etc to the new engines are they so different that makes that an impossibility? Mind you i'm not criticising your decisions or even imposing anything is just genuine curiosity. So far everything looks fantastic.
