Mutant attacks are going to be way scarier now. Imagine hearing them rush towards you, but being almost invisible because of the grass. You just start firing everywhere, lol.
I just hope beyond hope that there isn't a fence lurking just behind those trees and behind the camera, that that forrest is truly huge and dense. That is what STALKER needs in the absence of one huge map/world.
With forests like this one, just loitering in Zone can be more immersive than in DayZ. Nicely done, guys.
And I've got an interesting idea. Put there extremely rare (or one of a kind) artifact and close it up in anomaly similar to Oasis one. To get to the artifact player should walk between right trees in right sequence. There might be some tips hidden around, just to make it bit easier to solve.
What do you think about adding something like this in mod of yours?
It was fun about "flash" and "moonlight" artifacts in SoC (those appear in Electra anom). They only appear between 00:00 and 05:00 AM. Before I found that out, their appearing condition was a big mistery to me :)
So it's cool to add more things which will appear depending on "not obvious conditions" (maybe some dogs following player after he ate sausages? :D). Random is not as good as "hidden conditions" - every puzzle should be possible to resolve - it's much more insteresting that way :)
It was cool in CoP too when player had to use the best detector to activate a portal and get duty corpses from it.
